*** AMD "Zen 4" thread (inc AM5/APU discussion) ***

Got my 7950x + ASUS B650E-E + 32GB-5600-CL36 Expo yesterday (DPD delivered it to wronge place but got it sorted with a web chat and was delivered after a few hours(Not from OCUK). Installing windows took ages as Win 11 does not have the Nic driver so it refused to install without intenet, had to install Win 10 then upgrade. Its running now, still on the motherboard box as I cannot be bothered to switch my old stuff out of the case. CineBench is over 2x faster than my 3900X (~38600 vs ~18600) and that’s with a Ryzen Stock cooler vs a 360mm AIO on the 3900X. I just enabled ECO Mode for 105W and the CineBench score is ~34500 but the max temperature is now 56C vs 95C and the fan runs much slower. Also, was one click to enable Expo for the RAM and not had any issues with it, so that was good. Was funny to see it at 5.77Ghz using a stock cooler.

Or you could have done the following:
  1. On the “Oops, you’ve lost internet connection” or “Let’s connect you to a network” page, use the Shift + F10 keyboard shortcut.
  2. In Command Prompt, type the OOBE\BYPASSNRO command to bypass network requirements on Windows 11 and press Enter.
  3. The computer will restart automatically, and the out-of-box experience (OOBE) will start again.
  4. Click the “I don’t have internet” option.
  5. Click the “Continue with limited setup” option.

You create a normal local account, and finish the setup.

I feel like I should re-do it now:(

To be honest, right now, I don't see that much of a difference. You could argue from my previous system for what I play and do, I did not really need to upgrade. But I can't help myself, lol. Would like a new GPU next, but waiting for the new AMD cards to hit to see what they offer.
Daily usages seldom are different unless one has multitask encoding etc..going.
added 30fps in game for me but I wouldnt know if I didnt have the fps meter.
so, its snappy and faster so an upgrade :D

The holes are not even close to the ones on the board, the Liquid Freezer II 360 uses a backplate. Maybe it can be done but I have not seen any info on how so am stuck using a stock cooler?

Which revision is your Freezer II 360? The plastic parts on the board need to come off, and only the backplate should be left, and once you fit the plates to the bottom of the block it should line up and screw down. Perhaps post a pic of your current setup on Imgur and link it here?
