Yerp, this is what I found running my 9700x at 105wNo Gaming Improvements Seen With AMD Ryzen 9 9700X & Ryzen 5 9600X Running On 105W Mode
Gaming benchmarks show that AMD's Ryzen 5 9600X & Ryzen 7 9700X are better off with 65W mode operation than 105W in gaming.wccftech.com
I think what they mean was that Windows update provides a larger relative benefit on slower ram.TH stating they see better gaming results on non EXPO clocked RAM
TLDR?Seems ComputerBase made multiple article on the branch prediction patch. Monday's Zen 5 one:
Has now been followed by a Zen3 5800X3D article:Benchmarks: Windows 11 23H2 + KB5041587 & 24H2 HVCI an/aus
Explodiert die Leistung von AMD Ryzen mit Windows 24H2 und Update KB5041587 für Windows 23H2 im CPU-Limit in Spielen – oder nicht?www.computerbase.de
Don't recall any Zen 4 article so they might do a third one soon?
Well the problem with websites with dynamic charts is that on a phone you can't just embed them like TPU charts.TLDR?

I found the Zen 3 results more interesting if for no other reason that 5800X3D is quite old now.
23H2 versus 23H2+Update was average frametimes +4% with some regression and +12% for CP2077PL.
They are just talking about the gains of Zen 5 relative to Zen 4 expo vs stock, it makes sense that Expo gains are higher on Zen 4 because the stock memory speed is only 5200MT compared to Zen 5 which is 5600MT so that gap between the chips will be larger at stock settings than with Expo enabled. Not sure what to make of this, I thought as long as you stayed below 6400 there were improvements to be seen.

I was just about to say ^^^^^ unless you're actually testing for a CPU bottleneck you're not going to see any improvement. Its not as if this patch will make your GPU faster, you know...?
It turns out that HUB's MW3 data was incorrect and there's essentially no CPU performance improvement in that game after all, so my results were accurate.I don't know much about the MW3 benchmark but similar benchmarks in other games the CPU score is still somewhat affected by the GPU and you won't get the max possible CPU results if you don't have like a 4090 - but I don't know if that is true for MW3.

Well they will have 1 sale from me come the 30th, I'm going all in, Zen 5 and x870. It will be a huge upgrade for me. I'm not planning on gaming much but I have been rewatching some of the reviews while I wait and I'm not sure it is that bad. I'm ignoring the headline FPS but watching the .1% lows instead and it actually looks pretty good then.
You know its bad when Zen 5 is being outsold by raptor lake on the largest etailer,
