Did someone post this already?

Not sure if you have a 4090, but if you do you can compare your 7950X3D to my 9950X in Cyberpunk using the built in benchmark.

Settings below were done using the 'High' preset option from the Graphics menu. The only change is to then Apply FSR Quality mode and restart the game and then launch the built in benchmark. The game is CPU limited in this scenario.

If you are wondering why these specific settings, I Just happened to copy the settings used by Tech Yes City in one of his videos.

Note, if you disable SMT you should get a small uptick in CPU performance in this game.

Memory settings used.

EDIT - At some point I will put my own 7950X3D back into my system to test how it scales up in the same scenario.

Is it just me? As i see that no matter what you do there is a significant performance hit on Ryzen 7000 and 9000 if you're using Win 11 vs Win 10, its not just me is it?

Ok.... so the KB5041587 Win 11 patch improves it but Win 10 is still faster.

Intel not affected either way.... it looks like Win 11 has gimped Ryzen CPU's specifically, i'm actually considering switching back to Windows 10.

The gains are probably marginal once you’re running anything higher than 1080p Low settings though

But still the gap shouldn’t be there if Intel CPUs are unaffected

Great channel subscribed

Wow that's crazy, had no idea about this. Might consider Windows 10 for my AMD 7900X build, I've wanted to do a clean format for a while on that system anyway, as it's seen a few hardware changes, this might be the motivation I need.

Im dual booting 10 & 11 currently (Both on Samsung M.2's) while trying to get 11 running to the standard of my Win 10 install and so far its a pile of garbage.

I have set it all up pretty much the same regarding Windows tweaks, drivers etc.

I get mad stuttering in OBS using their new Windowed Mode Optimization rubbish, just does not run nearly as smooth as Win 10 while playing DayZ.

Heaven bench was insane with the hitching and a low fps of just 9.. wtf is wrong with Microsoft, i thought things were supposed to improve and get better, obviously not.

Did some research and benched Heaven again on Win 11.. heres the difference in low fps after turning OFF ReBar, looked a load smoother too.

So basically back on par with Win 10.

I need to give DayZ a good test with the Windowed Mode Optimization crap turned on & off and see if that makes anything better.

I've installed GTA V on 11 now too so will benchmark that on both at some point.

Right now though, Windows 11 is garbage!

Just glad i didnt do a straight upgrade and chose to dual boot :p

Can you run the 7800x3d chips properly
On windows 10? I thought not and it had been putting me off upgrading as Win11 seems to offer nothing but problems and privacy issues

It's just single ccd 8 cores so doesn't need any special software to choose between 2 ccds

Old CPU now, 5800X but i'm starting to think going back to Win 10 would make this a bit less bottlenecky.....

I've been running PC's for 30 years, and Win 11 feels more Win Vista than Win XP, bloated and not getting the most out of the hardware, it used to be OK but since all these security updates, or Alder Lake its been getting increasingly crap.

That was exactly why I upgraded downgraded to Windows 11.

Improvements here was supposed to be one of the big deals with Zen 5 but looks for some reason like they've kept it exclusive to the X3D R9s, which remains to be seen. A lot of information even when actually coming from AMD about Zen 5 seems to be wishful thinking.

8000C38 what the hell, and here's me running 8000C32 as a daily.

What FCLK are they running with 8000?
fclk 2100

These are reasonable settings that most users will be able to replicate with off the shelf parts and without hours and days of tuning and testing
Except 6400 in 1:1, apparently that could be hit and miss.
