They'll match current gen pricesI wonder if AMD will take advantage of Zen5X3D performance and increase prices?
Intel have admitted their next gen is slower than 14900K in games - so Zen 5X3D will be the gaming performance king and lead by 10-20% in games (depending on the game).
£1000 9950X3D, £600 9800X3D? Or will they match Zen4 X3D release prices, hmm!
7800X3D is currently hitting £400 (RRP £420?) so I'm going for £479.99 for the 9800X3D
I'm close to finishing tuning of the 9950X in terms of optimising performance via memory, FCLK and Precision Boost Overdrive. The 9950X seems to have a lot of headroom for optimising the voltage frequency curve to improve performance.

Next target will be 8200Mhz C34 which I think will be achievable with this memory kit.
My son got his for £315, but yes they've gone up due to the meh 9000 series so far. But, that's the price and I'm not sure what to expect from the new chipIt was much lower than that just a few weeks ago when something better was supposedly just around the corner. It’s only commanding that price currently because it’s the ‘current best’ for gaming.
Cinebench is all about CPU grunt, FCLK and memory don't really matter at all. The key to higher Cinebench using PBO is more negative curve optimiser.Very impressive.
I've upgraded to a 9950x, Asus Rog x870E Hero, and 96GB (2x48GB) of Corsair Dominator Titanium 7000mts.
I've only just started the tuning process and this is where I am so far in Cinebench:
Not too bad at all, especially given that the RAM is only running at 6000 and not with particularly tight timings.
I'll have a go at reaching 8000 over the weekend if I get a chance and see if I can match you.

Just go all core negative curve optimiser -15 and see if it passes a run of CB. If it does, increase to -20 and repeat. Rinse and repeat till one core craps the bed.
Lower temperature of the CPU = higher core clock = higher score.
It used to be £350 but before this it was also £330.7800X3D is currently hitting £400 (RRP £420?) so I'm going for £479.99 for the 9800X3D
Maybe they are trying to get as much money for these cpus before the 9000X3D comes out at the end of the month.Got mine in August last year from OCUK for £317.49 inc VAT. Just a FYI
