If Ryzen is within 10% of a 6900K at a significantly lower price it won't matter if that 10% is faster or slower.
yes indeed.
let's see what the motherboards are like !

I've just ran Blender 1.71 and I'm now 18 seconds faster than the latest Blender.
You'll prob find that 3DMark06 gives you a higher score than 3DMark11 too
I have had a bit of a read now and it does seem pretty decent. Close to the intel equivalents. I guess it depends on pricing as to how worthwhile it is. If similarly priced, people will just buy intel. It has to be a good deal cheaper for me to consider one.
That's not remotely the same.
In the different blender runs, it's the same benchmark image.
To become 30% slow is iffy.
so when you use it to review , all chips are sued with the same software....
Oh I agree.
But given what blender is. Stuffs meant to get faster doing the same thing, not slower .
I don't trust the validity of blender benchmarks.
People here have used latest blender with the amd image against me doing the same, and my 4770k is twice as fast. That's not right.
do you trust the handbrake bench they did or nup on that too?
Don't know.
Using the latest blender with the AMD image, going by AMDS ryzen benchmark is over 4 times faster than an FX83
Do you not find that the slightest bit suspect?
nope because +60% IPC gain was expected.
Don't know.

so far , with AMD looking like they are back in the game , why are you only now openly attacking the software used? will you suddenly do this for all software used?
