AMD's reputation is solid. They own the console market, lead the way in the graphics graphics and even with a tiny budget seem to have pulled off the impossible with Zen.
Awww come on man, im a self confessed AMD fanboy and even i wouldnt say what you said lol.
Yep they have the console market sewn up, nope they do not lead the GPU market, yep they have more share if you count console's alongside their discreet cards, but i think we both know Nvidia have a bigger bite of the discreet market currently.
I will say that AMD lead the way with forward thinking when it comes to GPU's however, its a gamble thats starting to pay off for them with DX12 / Vulkan and could well see them dominate in the future if Nvidia does not start gearing towards putting in hardware to tackle this, thats one of the main reasons Nvidia is more efficient, as they cull a lot of the hardware AMD have on board as they dont need it (hence no hardware level support for some DX12 functions from Nvidia that AMD have etc and why AMD use more power overall but thats another story)
And with regards to RyZen, we only know what we have been shown so far, while it looks extremely impressive and im aboard the hype train with many others, we have yet to see Boost clocks in action, we have yet to see lower tier cpu's, we have yet to see how their SenseMI stuff really works, we have yet to see how the chips self OC With different cooling involved etc, there are still a lot of unknowns, but what we have seen is extremely positive.
I am just a bit more wary about what they have coming until i see more info, bit like the Vega cards, i have a Freesync screen so im going Vega anyhow, and i have a 1070 so as long as whatever they bring matches that performance its all good for me, anything above that is a bonus
