Adored's video is very interesting. Even to show Ryzen could possibly have a better IPC for Skylake, if not it is very very close.

If in the end Ryzen is close to Skylake then what a fantastic job AMD have done in make this much improvement in a one generation step, including power efficiency. Could shake the mobile market up too.

Looks like the train keeps going....
 
If the 1700X comes in at the alleged ~£340, I won't really be regretting my 6800K purchase (~£340 for the CPU, and ~£140 for the motherboard). I doubt I'd notice the performance differences in normal use, and the difference between 6C and 8C isn't that large IMHO. It'll also be good to see how it compares to the 6C 1600X which should be significantly cheaper.

It'll be very interesting to see if the only difference between the 1700X and 1800X is really just clock speed - if so, and the 1800X compares favourably with the 6900K, it'll be a comparative bargain.
