Yeah. £1 = $1.24 then we have our 20% taxation, and fees associated with shipping and import etc.

Are they shipping all chips to the US then sending them on to us? I would have thought the US prices would include shipping to the US and our prices would be the US price less shipping converted for currency plus VAT/ duty?

No idea. I thought they were made in the US to be honest. :p

OCUK prices:

Ryzen 7 1700- £319.99 with free delivery.
Ryzen 7 1700x- £379.99 with free delivery.
Ryzen 7 1800x- £489.95 with free delivery.

Not bad!

The only difference in the specs between them is the K7 has "Turbo B-Clock, Built-in Advanced Performance Tuning IC", great, what is it? lol.

I lost it on the Gigabyte page a little below that, where it advertises "HDMI the next generation multimedia interface".... if they released it what, like 15 years ago or something.

Disappointed as hell by Gigabyte's offerings. My p67 or something Asrock was always dodgy, this current x99 MSI is too stupid to power up my rear case fan with enough voltage at the start to get spinning before turning it down so I either have it stupidly loud or change it manually every single time I boot up and just generally not all that impressed so I was thinking, Gigabyte this time. Hell no.

Maybe I'm nuts but I want a plain looking mobo, I want no freaking lights on it, I don't want a killer Nic gimmicky pile of **** that I pay for. When 1 in 10million pci-e slot or memory slots fail due to bending you're trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist, giving them 'armour' is just charging us for nothing. I want heatsinks that look like heatsinks and don't block airflow. Fancy angular tops on all the heatsinks that actually help block airflow add to the cost and reduce cooling effectiveness.

What I do want, a 16x pci-e slot that isn't so close to the CPU that a big heatsink on either can cause problems, make the middle or bottom slot 16x, put on decent vrms and capacitors and a decent audio chip and stop wasting money on all the other crap. I don't need to lan ports, in reality who does, if anything these days more and more people use wireless(urgh) but who uses two lan ports, seriously, 1 gamer in a million, let him buy another nic rather than change the whole million for 2 nics.

That Gigabyte is just so wasteful and stupid and they don't (as yet) have any X chipset boards without the RGB guff, infuriating.
