*** AMD "Zen" thread (inc AM4/APU discussion) ***

Do you run the game at 720P resolution?
If he'd run it at 720p then his cpu usage would go up together with frame rate and not the other way around.
The point is that there is something fishy about that screenshot because my 6700K never reached anywhere near 90% when playing GTA V maxed out at ~100fps.

edit:
ok my bad thought it was GTA V as someone said it was.

Booted to Windows, there she is, 8 cores / 16 thread hotness xD

All fine so far, very nippy around desktop, just ran virus test. Blazed through it so fast. Would I miss those 10 extra FPS VS a 7700K? Na of course not, over %100 faster in other apps though, that is a good trade off imho :D

I am sold ..Virus test ..blazed through it ......16t virus test benchmark ....test done... :)

Yeah Watch Dogs 2 really likes CPU cores. These benches were run with a Titan X

No I run it at 1080 with framescaling for AA. Sits at a solid 60fps. The frame grab above shows 63fps.

Hi mate, i think its only fair to tell you, before your teased more or say something else foolish, that screengrab was Watchdogs 2 @ 720p, making it CPU bound. The point was, even at that resolution, the 1700 still has much much much more fuel in the tank while keeping up with the 7700k, its ok, dont feel bad bud.

yesterday i made a post to ask if anyone done any win7 testing with Ryzen, to see if the latency issue is somehow resolved.
i found a post on reddit redirecting to anandtech , they were conducting draw calls tests, performance on Win7 was up to 17.8% faster than Win10, it was mandatory for reviews to be done on Win10.
anyhow it would be cool if we could see a Win7 gaming benchs for Ryzen and 7700, still wanna figure out if it's a windows scheduler issue, or lack of optimisation, if this is a solvable issue or not for Ryzen
