It's the extra cache that is causing the high benchmark on CPU-Z iirc.
I lol'd at that comment too, we dont know what his intent was, if he was aiming it as a dig at Ryzen, then wow, if he was just anecdoting on something he read elsewhere and wanted to share, then cool, its hard to decipher his actual intent lol. This is the first time i have seen someone explain why something has higher performance as if its a bad thing, what a surreal thing to do.
Actually his intent was pretty obvious, he was answering the question asked:I lol'd at that comment too, we don't know what his intent was
For a benchmark like CPUz that can have the Ryzen beating the 7700K in single thread at lower Freq, does this point to a real optimization problem?

Read a rumor this morning that theres a new Stepping of Ryzen in the works already, due 2H 2017, its apparently going to be an "FX" version of the chip with 4.0 base and 4.4ghz boost, massive salt required, but if theres any truth at all, im holding off for this one
Did you not know that being in any graph re gaming benchmarks.... the very top and very bottom are the worse places to be ..being in the middle is all the rage now...
Can anyone link several 6900k reviews where they mention temps?
I can find
http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/core-i7-6950x-6900k-6850k-and-6800k-processor-review,21.html
and its hitting 90 degree`s under load oO
Just waiting on M$ now for the scheduler correction ...the wait is going to be painful but i am looking forward to see the results ....
Had a Asus B350M-A + 1700 sitting on the sofa the whole weekend waiting for me while I was at work. Really looking forward to playing with it!
Come home, assemble everything, boot to bios, install 502 bios..... and it freezes!

Wont even show signal to screen. That was a short trip to hell
I'm guessing the header you are using is for pumps as these need to be at 100%.
Anyone else with the MSI B350 Tomahawk mobo having issue's with the CPU fan header and running in PWM? I've checked and double checked. PWM fans follow fan curve on all other headers correctly, but run full speed all the time when connected to the CPU header.
Fan on the CPU header will slow down and follow fan curve when set in DC mode, but I'm using PWM fan with LED so the LED's dim as well when in DC mode (not ideal). Tried 4 fans, all PWM and all work fine on other headers, but run full speed constantly when set in PWM mode on CPU header.
Even tried flashing the BIOS and still the same. Mobo fault?
Same board here, CPU fan in the CPU fan 1 slot, 3 pin, spinning up and down fine.
