Very interesting results ...thx for the post

I am very surprised by those results, seem to fly against most testing we have seen so far...hope it's true!

In GTA V Ryzen 1800X gets 100% the minimum FPS at 4K with the 1080Ti, compared to the 7700K as well.

Seems more and more proof popping up of Ryzen offering a "Smoother" experience compared to Kaby Lake.

That's the point ;) Most benchmarks saying that the i7s are far superior are being tested at CPU-bound resolutions which are quite obviously pointless since nobody in the real world ever plays at that.

Why would you bench a 1080ti at 1024x768? What a waste of a gpu :<

That's the point ;) Most benchmarks saying that the i7s are far superior are being tested at CPU-bound resolutions which are quite obviously pointless since nobody in the real world ever plays at that.

Not just that, reviewers and people keep harping on that tests at 720p and 1080p at all low settings are "PERFECT" for showing if the CPU will cause GPU bottlenecks.

Yet we kept hearing and reading about Ryzen offing a "smoother" experience, and now more and more reviews, and tests come out with Ryzen offering a better experience; especially at higher resolutions, and many at 1080p.

Computerbase thoroughly tested at 720p and 1080p and in the majority of modern games Ryzern pulls ahead of the 7700K. It's only on older games that it lags behind.

What is wrong in that article is the thought that the 1700 & 1700X will drop massive performance compared to the 1800X which maybe out the box it will but since we are seeing clocks very similar then the results for the mins would in my mind be similar.

Further to that their talk of working with 1000's of developers should actually be sending out 1000+ developer kits for developers because many are likely to have a dozen configurations of development kits not just one to use between the whole developer bearing in mind many have different studios also. But the premise of what being said is there just frustrating because many news outlets are getting that mixed up.

The last I will say is that more and more people seem to suggest that etenik are all fake results and that even pro AMD reviews are not getting close to the same scores etc in that to get that they would have to downclock all the Intel CPU's.

Note: This is just people who are commenting. I can only take what is given at face value and I don't personally have any reason to dis-believe etenik from what has been posted so far.

Interesting review those thinking of a Nvidia 1880Ti to go along with your Ryzen.

Minimum FPS are quite good for Ryzen

<sarcarm>but but where are the 640x480 benchmarks booohoooooo this review sucks booo hoooooo :( sniff sniff. Why they do not use only the IGP to show that the Ryzen doesn't have one? booo hooo</sarcasm>
Great review and inline of the Jay2 one. He has 2 TXPs and said that the gaming perf was absolutely amazing with the Ryzen.

I'll take this review with a large pinch of salt.

As much as I'm itching to pull the trigger on a Ryzen build I just can't see how these results can be so wildly different from other reviewers.

Was pleased to see my new 1700 idling low temps (even peeping sub-30) in the BIOS with the stock cooler.

Not even going to try clocking anything until Asus have a new BIOS or two under their belt for this X370 Prime. 3GHz flat, 2133MHz RAM, the lot... :p
