*** AMD "Zen" thread (inc AM4/APU discussion) ***

+1 would like to know if ocuk are shipping new revision
Why do you keep spreading this? Guy from ASUS ROG R&D said there is no other version than 1.03 and you know this. You created some silly discussions even about returning bords if it's not a new version ...that does't exist.

As far as other retailers with 2.2 it might even be weight of the box lol

Sounds like the news around Ryzen is turning a lot more positive since the initial launch.
I'm really looking forward to more in-depth testing from Wendell from Level1Techs as well; chap does like his chatting but he gets into the nitty gritty, especially for Linux and workstation loads.

Yes its now A-Ryzen.
Get your coat!

How Asus has fallen - they had the best AM3+ motherboards at launch and now have the worst AM4 motherboards at launch.

We can't link competitors but they're being listed like this in EU, NZ, RSA and more.

Is it possible to put 2 M.2 SSDs on a motherboard? I'm a bit confused with it...

Also do you know where's the difference between the MSI X370 Carbon and the Titanium one which justifice the price?

Some motherboards yes - but most only have one. The 2nd might be on the back of the board so you need to read specs/manuals not just look at pics.

Usually only one will be at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds the other will usually just be SATA-III.

:) I don't doubt there are some on retailer's websites, I would still believe a guy who works on development of those than some retailers who copy themselves and not always everything is accurate (they probably don't even have stock:p )

Nothing wrong with the Asus Prime B350M-A other than feeling like an £80 board (which is what it costs) - supports XMP out of the box and is running here with all 4 x 8GB sticks @ 2666mhz populated - even on the shipping bios but have updated to the newest of the 3 available and its still all working perfectly here.

It has also been in stock virtually everywhere since launch. I wanted a micro-ATX X370 board but there arent any so settled for a B350 "in-the-hand" rather than wait for anything else to be in stock until there are but I might keep it permanently now.

I can't get my ram over 2133mhz even though it rated at 2400mhz

The main reason for motherboard shortages is all these damn reviewers having them all big tech sites fair enough but we have peeps with less than 1000 subs too with em all ...so to get your tech on launch or sooner you have to become a tech reviewer :)

Depends on the board, some have two slots but the second will be PCI-E 2 x4 , which is still much faster than SATA3

Thanks guys but what do you mean with on the back?! Never seen a slot on the back of the board. I'm eying the MSI Carbon (still cant find the difference to the Titanium one) so i'm gonna check this out.

Pretty much all of the boards I've looked at with two slots have one slot near the first PCI-E x16 slot, and the second is somewhere else lower on the board, generally near the last PCI-E slot and then they disable the last slot if there is an m.2 drive in the second port.
