FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT DISABLED HPET - DO IT NOW!

My gaming performance has rocketed.
Nothing has changed with my setup same clocks same ram the only thing I did was disable HPET.

Cinebench score did not change at all but gaming wise its definitely a difference.
Overwatch is higher too but I did not measure that, just believe me when I say my fps was around 225 for most of the time compared to 190 to what I was getting before.

*I have not tried to replicate this by re-enabling HPET but its worth a look for any gamers.
I have no clue what happened with the firestrike benchmark but the geforce overlay was reporting the exact same fps as the benchmark was. The physics scene was the most impressive for me, usually it hovers around 60 and on a 144hz screen 60 vs 80 fps is noticeable*

If anyone else wants to post their finding that would be helpful to see if HPET does cause a performance hit or its just a case of the Mrs pouring redbull into my computer when I'm not here.

Wow, i didn't see much difference. I have it disabled according to Windows. How did you disable it?

I disabled it through command prompt (run as admin) HPET was still shown running in system devices. Restarted PC and it is still showing. Im going to try disabling it in system devices to see if that does anything

Using windows 10 home.
The CH6 does not seem to have an option for it. I ran it in command prompt and rebooted. I am overclocking in pstate. The scores from before were taken when i overclocked in manual mode. Though i cant imagine this will have such a big impact.

That's weird. Have you tried restarting your system to see if the performance boost remains? I get better scores in Firestrike at least with it on.
