I dont know if it just because of my amateur clocking ability or whether its the board, but on my gigbyte i have the profile 1 loaded at 2666mhz but for some reason it stays at 2133? is it something i am doing wrong?
O.o?
Depending if you have the AB350 or AB350M the latest beta is the F6i or F3c respectively.
Check out the beta thread for the latest ones: http://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/886/am4-beta-bios-thread
Which kit? Try going into advance voltage and riase the SOC voltage to +0.15 or so. failing that try raising vcore a little too. I had to have my SOC at +0.180 and the CPU at reduced overclock + vcore at +0.276 offset just for it to boot more successfully at 2933mhz ram.
It's just down to the general lack of mem compatibility on AM4.
1600x at 4.0-4.3 - here's hoping
I have seen somewhere info that would be 2pm Uk time.I would guess the embargo will be lifted AM US time tomorrow, sometime around mid-afternoon.
Appreciate the assistance cheers, ill give it a go.
I have the Corsair Vengeance LED 16gb PC4-21300C16 @ 2666
I don't want to put a downer on your day but I wouldn't expect much from this memory. I've got the exact stuff sitting on my shelf doing nothing 2666 was the most I could get.
I tried it with a msi tomahawk and a crosshair hero neither could get it above 2666. The gskill I currently have worked at 3200 straight away with no issues. This may improve with time but no amount of messing with settings would work for me.
I think youll be fine. The 3200mhz seems to run at speed for a lot of people. Corsairs 3000mhz seems to be performing pretty bad at the moment.Ouch. I went and bought similar ram Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz.

AMD supplied the Corsair 3000MHZ sets with a number of the review kits too,so a bit of an own goal there methinks.
looks like some people over at insanelymac have got Ryzen working on an Hackintosh! That would blow Apple current offering out of the water for 1/5th of the price!
OK,I started the review thread here with the first review:

Thanks to paultrfc spotting(or making) this backup of a leaked review.
