24c for sure I think, 32c might be stepping a little on Epyc's toes...
Still, it'd make a hell of a system!! Cores just went boom y0!

I think they are definitely trying to not mix the use cases for Epyc and TR, I suspect that's why none of the X399 boards support more than 128gb of memory / registered dimms

Yup, left to In*el we'd be stuck on 4c in the mainstream forever!!!
I'm def going to look at a Ryzen2 setup for my new mITX system that I'm going to build in a few months
Nice so with fast RAM it's within ~5% of a GT 1030 with a much lower overall TDP and cost.

Look at the difference between 2400MHZ and 3200MHZ DDR4 - its less than 10% it appears.

The investors are idiots
The Dow Jones had a crash and even Nvidia was affected. Also there seems to be some strong short interest in AMD ATM,according to an article I read a few days ago.
Two analysts claim that the stock target is 7$ and 8$ which is completely insane and unreal. Others, who are more normal, claim stock price target 18$.
Now, it is in the middle.
Nvidia is affected, but Intel is not. The market still can't accept in how strong position currently AMD is.
Yes, as mentioned on Thursday things were looking very nice indeed given the earnings (and previous muddling of this stock) but the crash on Friday hit everyone hard. Saying this as an investor in many tech stocks, doh!

Problem is the fast RAM costs too much to make it anything but a niche solution.
well, no. £150 for a CPU that's slightly more manly than an R5 1500 WITH a GPU that happens to be around £60 gt 1030 performance.
What's you're preferred alternative? £60 gt 1030... take us from there...
Depends what you mean by "fast RAM". The difference up to 3000-3200 MHz is negligible in most cases and the benchmark posted only went up to 3200 MHz.
