American Truck Simulator

I'm enjoying this more than I did ETS2 which is strange considering it's effectively the same game, just on a different continent. The only mods I've installed so far are a sound mod, the physics one mentioned above and a couple for extra AI vehicles.

Perhaps it's down to the fact I'm playing it with a wheel, pedals and shifter that's making all the difference but this just feels a little more polished than ETS2.

I think there's more character in ATS, ETS2 feels like a lot of cities and roads feel like a copy and paste job, so you could be anywhere (countries have different flavours obviously).

ATS feels more diverse, ironic given it's the US vs Europe and the reality is probably the opposite...

ATS as a whole feels more "finished" when I'm playing, ETS2 feels kinda "lose" it's hard to describe..

Also the Dalton Highway mod 1:1 scale map is now ready for 1.28 on both Winter and Summer variants.

Just dragged an 89,000lb bulldozer from Fresno up to Winnemucca in Nevada. All the journey was on single carriageway roads like this except the last fifteen miles where I hit an interstate. It was a lot of fun driving this heavy load up through Nevada, often round quite twisty and hilly roads. I didn't push it and had quite a queue behind me at times.

I've not done any cosmetic upgrades except throw some beacons on the top.

It occurred to me this evening that the only force feedback I'm getting is steering wheel centring. No matter what I set in the game, I don't seem to get anything else. That's not right, surely?

The Mac version of the Logitech software is a bit different, this is how mine is set.

Yes, definitely enabled in game but it doesn't matter how I set the sliders, I don't get anything.
