Interested in the last point. Have Ineos really done this? How would they have managed this? That was one of the biggest problems with the Glazers, taking money out of the club. If that's been stopped, or massively reduced, then I'm impressed.
Yeah part of the deal was they weren't allowed to take dividends for a certain amount of time (can't remember how long off the top of my head) Obviously it's still servicing the debt they gave us but not much can be done about that

the club is utterly rotten to the core and jim ratcliffe and his crowd at ineos have done very little to change that. i imagine armoim's future, despite his cv taking a bit of a dent here, is much brighter than ours.

How many managers have failed at Untied now? Seemingly none of them can get the players how they mystically "should" be playing. Is the next manager going to play on the pitch?

We've had 10 managers including interims since Ferguson left in 2013

Wow, must have missed that when Ineos bought shares.

In terms of choosing managers, backing them then sacking them, Ineos have been as bad as the Glazers. Weren't Ineos/Jim saying the football side of things would be more considered and better run from now on?

Hirst saying we're going to appoint an interim until the end of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Ole, they'll want to appoint someone to get the crowds back on their side.

This is the reset they have been talking about. Reset to 2018. :p

I honestly wouldn't be against it as a stop gap as long as it is just that. We just need someone to play simple football that plays to the strengths of our players and motivates them for now. Unless something drastically changes in the league in the remaining 18 games, top 4 is 100% up for grabs...for about 12 teams.

The funny thing is they forced Ashworth out who wanted to appoint an interim until the summer. Now we're doing the same thing 14 months later. He must be laughing his head off.

It's gotta be Keane until the summer

Heaven was at fault for the goal against Leeds, if he had Keane screaming at him to run you wouldn't have conceded

I still think part of problem is the owner structure of Utd as a club until that is fixed it really doesn’t matter who you get.

It’s almost like the structure of how your club is ran and the perception Utd owner have is your the Utd of Ferguson era where you did dominate and win etc

Football world has moved on and Utd never moved with it. Everything about the club is now rotten and it’s ran down.

It'll probably never be fixed. Even if Ineos buy the Glazers out, their current working doesn't really show that they have what it takes to run the club properly.

When Ferguson was in charge and Glazers took over the club, he was so dominant and settled that they let him do what he wanted knowing he'd retire eventually and from then on they wouldn't have an established manager with the history of results that Fergie did so could be pushed round more than Fergie ever could.

It has to be fixed some stage but it’d turmoil shows no sign of it happening anytime soon

Reddy tweet sums it up Amorim situation abit as well

“INEOS kept on a manager they had no faith in, openly canvassing Europe for his successor but then armed him with £200m to spend on players he wanted, and changed the backroom staff before sacking him anyway. They axed a sporting director, whose way of working was well established, because he did not fit in with how they wanted him to work. He warned them about selecting a head coach attached to a fixed style of play, which didn’t suit the squad and how expensive it would be to build a quality 3-4-3. They didn’t listen, insisted they believed wholeheartedly in Ruben Amorim’s approach, but then wouldn’t fully back it in the transfer market and asked him to change the tactical principles that attracted them to him. Some “best in class” decision-making…”

Nothing they do makes sense. Managers will join Utd cause it’s UTD the name still has pulling power but that will run dry soon, I don’t see a single world class top manager touch the club.

I think your next risk is the mangers you attract won’t be the ones the club want if that makes sense.
