An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Another thing is i've become over-cucumbered (carrying too mch stuff), how do I get rid of stuff?

I find that if that happens, I just substitute vegetables for the cucumber and all is well again :D

Might as well add those mods like better landscape/carry more goodies mod etc etc...

I dont see it as cheating whos gonna go backwards and forward 50 times dropping off collected goodies/finds/things u won in a fight..

Gotta play the game u want afterall, not gonna do extra money or super swords mods exactly ;)

Been speaking to guys at work and even they said they just stopped BF2 and CS and other games just due to this game ;)

Become an expert in light armour and light armour will no longer become over encumbered when you where it. You can do this with heavy armour but to get heavy armour to master for it to no longer over encumber you. It's a great way to be able to carry more.

got a strange problem in that i always seem to run backwards and i cant stop it.
ive deleted all my save games and uninstalled the game and removed all mods etc but its always the same even after many reinstalls.i cant seem to be able to stop running backwards.any help would be much apreciated as its totally unplayable

got a joypad plugged in? if so better option than unplugging it is to open the '\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini' find
'bUse Joystick=1' and set it to 0.

Game Crashing Issue

Oblivion keeps crashing at the same point in my game. I am on the Thieves Guild quest and I put the bust is in Myvryna's cupboard and told Lex, and he has gone to Myvryna's house and then I follow and that is where the game always crashes.

I have re-installed the game, but the same error occurs. I have even stated the mission again, just incase one of my saves were corrupt, but this does not affect the problem :(

Any thoughts

You could perhaps try the beta patch?

Assuming I'm not just hideously out of date on my Oblivion knowledge - I got bored of the game after a few hours (75% of which was spent trying to get it to run well on my system, lol) :)

Tried the beta patch, still the same problem. I have now not choosen that particular mission and I have completed about 10 other missions instead without any problems

You know them guys in the sewer at the start of the game from the Blades everyone says you can't take their armour off them but I maybe the first person to discover you can.

Highly odd :/ Not sure what to suggest... Hope you sort it anyhow.

mysticsniper next time you try the quest get right upto the point of crashing, save and try.. if it continues to crash, load the last save and at the console type: SetStage TG03Elven 75
that will skip past the short cut scene in the house allowing you to continue the TG quests.

basic spoiler of the cut scene if your forced to skip it: < the officer explains that you have accused her of the theft and finds the bust, she calls him a fool and says that you are TG and he has been used to expose the grass but he don't buy it and takes her to jail.. >

The house you get in Anvil after the quest, is it really a house you own or not?

I ask because it is very cheap, even more so as I think there are no extra furnishings you have to buy?

So can I store my stuff there without it disappearing?

It is certainly yours after you've dealt with the current inhabitants. Comes fully furnished too, once you've dealt with them, so you can store as much as you like in there.
