An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Apparantly a UK magazine has details of the next two plug ins. One is a castle for a fighter. You can add more rooms and a NPC who can't die to train with. Also comes with an NPC who will follow you on your journeys.

The second plug in is a vampire cave home via the Dark Brotherhood I think. Here you can also upgrade the place with new rooms. There will be a jail where NPC's are brought alive once a day to feed on. There will also be a pool which cures vampirism instantly with the aid of special salts ("Purge Blood" or something) found in the cave.

I think the source was an UK X-Box 360 magazine. :)

What do you mean weird? The natural environment mod will change the look of the weather if thats what you mean.

Otherwise, if you're talking about the blurred/blocky look on those distant textures check out the LOD replacement mod.

:)

Been playing this since I got it a couple of days ago and it's fantastic. Had an interesting incident where I accidentally got on the wrong horse and was killed by my travelling companions, a bit harsh I thought.

Got a couple of general questions, not after solutions but just a bit of guidance really. Firstly how do I go about getting rid of diseases? Secondly, all the books lying around with history and stuff, can they contain quest info or are they purely there for general background info?

To cure diseases use a Cure Disease potion or prey at an altar in a church. (potions can be found in chests in Forts etc.)
As for the books they do not contain quests but there are some special books that are 'skill books', if you read one you get a +1 increase to a specific skill.

You don't get the sneak damage multiplier with two-handed weapons.
Gah, this annoys me. They should have separated blades into two categories; swords and daggers, as they're fundamentally different weapons. The sneak damage multiplier should then only apply to daggers and ranged weapons. Also, they should do something about the sneak attack animation, so that you actually slit their throat or something, rather than just stab them, which strikes me as a rather inefficient way of killing someone

Cheers mate, I did got to the temple but didn't realise you could pray there too.

Pray at the main alter (looks like a baptismal font) in the middle in front of the pews. The smaller alters around the wall relate to the wayshrines dotted around: if you've activated the wayshrine of a particular god then the small alter allows you receive their blessing again.

Both are limited to once per day.
