Already got me intrested just looking at the previews.

I have never played another RPG game except MMO's, I usually play FPS or RTS, if its pulling in new fans to the genra even before its released just imaging how many it will pull in when some FPS'ers plays it at there mates house :)
I must admit that I don't usually play this type of RPG (console based RPGs that I play are usually very different) but I really enjoyed morrowind. Really can't wait for this.

Bah, I've been waiting for ages for this game now. This cruel new release date will prove to be a false hope like all the others. :(

The previews recently said they were playing a near if not final version of the game, and Bethesda have said that they will announce soon the official final release date, within the next two weeks I think (The announcement not the rlease date).

No. You take a photo and sharpen it - you aren't improving the raw quality of the photo are you? It's like running a game at 640*480 and then in 1680*1050, the one in 1680*1050 will look sharper?

Well, the quote I am referring to is:

Aside from the controls and a very small difference in visual quality in favor of the PC

No mention of resolution increase. Plus all the 360s would have been playing on HD sets I would imagine.

I would expect the PC version to have looked better anyway.

can't wait for this game, but I think I may need a new graphics card.

I've currently got a Radeon 9800 Pro which has been great for the last 18 months or so, but what card would anyone recommend for under £150??
Also, would that new card make a noticable difference in Oblivion over the 9800 Pro??

I have a question, i am running a 7800gtx, now from what I know nvidia can't do HDR and aa, although this was not true for Lost coast, do we know if Oblivion will allow nvidia owners to actual perform HDR and aa at the same time, if not it looks like Ati will be king of IQ in Oblivion.

I hope it does work with nvidia gpu's.

i think before we all go and buy graphics cards we should wait for the game to come out, I remember everyone was upgrading for FEAR saying all the mid range cards won't run it yet there I was running it at max settings except AA at 1024x768 on my 6600gt whcih seems like pretty good settings to me.

So I think we'll wait and see, plus if we can't run with everything on max, when we eventually do get a new graphics card, we can fire up Oblivion and go "wow, look at the graphics!".

One thing I'm a bit annoyed about is that from the water screens i've seen, it's using cubemaps and not realtime reflecting :(

I doubt it's going to look as good on my pc as it will on the 360 but im not buying a new console and tv to play it, nor am i going to upgrade my pc for at least another half a year. Regardless of how it looks though, i'm really looking forward to this :)
