An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Can't wait till saturday (won't be home until then). It's rare for a game to get me so excited but I really can't wait! Judging by the screenshots it does look a lot like morrowind but with much better graphics obviously. I think my PC should be able to run it with most things on high, but maybe with AA and HDR off.

So just to clarify - this isnt about playing the game its about "who has got it and where theirs is?"

Considering people are posting information on the suspected location of their postman and pictures of the box.....

:p

that last shot looks like a troll has come out of the game and come to life! :p

lol :)

That gave me a morning chuckle.

Anyway, my game is here. Yay, gonna clean up and get some breakfast and then play.

Yay! That's right... soon it will be who is where?
No - doubt it. Spoilers not allowed :)

If people want to post spoilers, I suggest they start a proper spoiler thread, so those of us wanting to find the story out on our own can do so safely :)

I have a 6800 512 mb ram and 3ghz cpu.

I don't know what it will be like outdoors but so far the first dungeon is really impressive. I've got all the sliders set to high 2aa and bloom with a playable framerate. Might not need to upgrade my RAM just yet, but I'll reserve judgement till I'm outdoors.

I am afraid that I have to get in touch with some bad news regarding the order
you had placed with us for 'The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion Collectors Edition
(PC DVD-ROM)'.

Unfortunately we have been badly let down by the distributor of this game and
have not been sent the number of copies that we had initially been promised.
This means that we have insufficient copies of this game to cover all orders
placed with us but no further stock can be obtained from distributors as this
was a limited edition release with only a specific number of copies being
made. I believe that all retailers are experiencing the same problems with
insufficient copies of the game being received for shipment.

Due to the limited stock levels we have had to cancel your order as we will be
unable to obtain any more stock for which we send our sincere apologies.

The standard release is due to arrive into stock with us tomorrow and we can
supply this version for you should you wish to place an order:

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC DVD-ROM)

As a gesture of goodwill and by way of an apology for any disappointment there
will be an additional GBP2.00 discount code sent to those customers who do
change their order over to the standard edition.

Just let us know via email that you do want the standard edition and our
customer services team can then place the order for you from here and add you
to the list of customers who are entitled to the GBP2.00 discount off their
next order.

Again our apologies for any disappointment. Unfortunately the situation with
stock is beyond our control.
I think im going to cry

Kronin where did you order this from? is it possible to mention the names without stepping on OCUK's toes?

Cheers

I bet it because of all those unscruplous ppl who have ordered like 5-10 copys just to sell it on that auction site for more money. Also looks like all the other major compaines are sold out of the collectors edition.

Well I got my copy this morning :), and yesterday I installed my new 6800GS graphics card :D so it should run quite nicely for me now. The only problem is that I won't be ablet to play it until Saturday morning!!! :( :(. Will be reading the manual through though (the first time I've done that for a game!).

I'd be inclined to wonder if by coincidence the people who ordered it at 24.99 don't get it, but those who paid 29.99 do.....

Well I ordered mine from a certain company in Jersey weeks ago...... all was well yesterday as it was despatched via first class recorded delivery however despite all my wishful thinking it has not been delivered today.

If it has not arrived by tomorrow I will go and buy it from a shop..... whats the point of pre-order if your not going to get it before on on the release date..... its just moo.

Anyway we shall see tomorrow!!

Anyone else ordered from the same place as me? if so let me know if you have it yet or not.

Cheers

Instant classic for me. And I've been gaming for over 20 years.

Well put, seems like one of the best games since HL2 came out and I'm only a couple hours into it so far!

Runs really well on my PC considering the specs ([email protected], 2gig RAM, x850xt)... Can run it at 1024x768, full detail, 2xaa and bloom so I'm happy:)
