I think his point, and he's right, is that people mistake their own needs with everybody else's and assume because it's no good for them/they don't like it that it's useless and completely unsuitable for everyone...
 
Apple dont want to lose Macbook sales - what they have done is very smart as the iPad is likely to appeal those that dont have iphones and also those that dont have Macbooks.
 
Folk assume because it doesn't do xyz it will surely fail rendering the product useless.

This isn't the first time Apple is taking a different approach and in all honesty it always works out of them in the end. It's a great device for a specific user base but obviously not for others. With regards to flash I try to avoid it and thanks to Apple for doing the same.
 
Whenever I go to the Apple iPad website, its kind of sluggish and very slow whenever I make mouse clicks and it affects my other tabs, only when I close it down it reverts back to normal. Anyone else have this?
 
No multitasking (unless you jailbreak), no flash, limited applications (compared to windows) is offputting but I'd probably still buy one if I didn't have an ipod touch.

Well iPhone version 4 will introduce multitasking, so I wouldnt bet against multi tasking coming to the iPad. Just a thought.

Plenty of people run all Flash sites and there is plenty of interest in a forum in flash too so they can keep people within the confines of their flash site.

Yes, but as I said, you're not going to be against it happening are you?
Most things in this industry that are rummour/speculation, 99% of the time turn out to be reality.
(Even with a jailbreaked iPhone you could multitask right now, so I would've thought that such a feature is very likely to be introduced in the very near future).
 
How will the 3G side of things work? contract with a telecoms provider? tie-in to iPhone contract? included and subsidised in with the price?

I'm definitely getting an iPad, just deciding which one :)

Why am i getting one? well... oh is that the phone? someone for me? gotta go people!

(yeah, no idea why i really want one, just do :D)
 
I've read somehwere (forgot where) that it's going to be on a Pay Monthly basis.
Hopefully with the option to just pay for one month, wait for a few months,and then decide to pay for another.

Looking forward to LED sheep on mine :D
 
I'd love it if Full Tilt bought out an iPad/iPhone app... that'd be bloody brilliant but I have a feeling they're not allowed are they?
