demo was smooth as for me ...not tried full version . But i know the "crack" is very laggy :P

Persil

I'll wait for a patch me thinks.

I'm just wondering, I started making a city in that continuous mode and I got people moving in and resources gathered, but I was waiting forever for stone even though it was being mined, it slowly came in, is there no way other than waiting? Just one of those things? There was no other stone mines or anything near by.

Dave, grab the demo and give it a shot.

I grew up playing AoE and have owned every single Age of Empires and Anno game, and a few Settlers games too.

Chances are if you like to build cities you will like this; it is not really a "battle" game like AoE was.

I want to buy the CE of this just for the box, I loved age of empires, I love to spend ages building and creating a city etc will i like this ?

Yes.

My current (albeit first) game has been going for 12 hours and I'm still far from building everything! The sheer amount of buildings available is really quite impressive. You can also set the game up to play out quite peacfully if you want, although a time will come when you'll need to take more land by force (or ask for it really nicely).

I think screenies deserve their own post :D

Here is my harbour sometime near the start of the game

And here is how it currently is, still not there but can't afford to build more atm

I prefer this over the way the computers design their harbours for some reason

And, how do I get nomads to settle? Can't work it out ... wish game had some sort of manual like the previous Anno games :D

EDIT: Can everyone see the 5 pics? Or is Picasa being a bit lame

:o You can patch the gay drm?

Sure if you want to call it "patch"

Remember kids, DRM can never be 100% tamper proof - so just buy a CD Key online to support the developers (edit: and to be cool like me and own every single anno pc game to date) and then wait and "patch" away

I was reading on the forum Ubi have stated that after the 3 activations, you can simply contact them and get more activations :) this one piece of information is what prompted me to buy it, I hate DRM still and the first chance I get to remove it I will, in the meantime I am fairly satisfied that I can continue to play it even if I run out of the initial 3 activations.
