Anno 2070

I found 1404's gameplay something of a paradox. The pacing was almost glacially slow, but because I always had a hundred things to do at any given time I was still rushing around everywhere, tending to this and that, and never had time to stop.

It was ace! Can't wait for 2070.

That was well described, its as fast or slow as you can be bothered to play it i guess! Might have to go for a reinstall now thinking about it.

Just started the first campaign on the demo. Built a rotary excavator and a coal power station but it won't let me continue any further. The task screen says I need to connect roads to them which I have done.

edit: sorted now.

I have this problem but still haven't figured out how to progress? Any help?

If you left-click your warehouse, a radius appears. Make sure both buildings are within the radius.

Demo was fun! Can't wait to play. Don't read too much into the linear nature of the first couple of missions, It's just a glorified tutorial of Anno basics for newcomers (Nessecary evil for a complex game like this.). I also can't honestly blame for putting a little 'story' into the missions either, It's a nice touch for people who enjoy that mix of gameplay. I'm pretty sure the sandbox mode will allow more hardcore players into doing whatever they like. As for it being a re-skin/money grab, I seriously wouldn't say that. It looks like they have put a lot of time into this title. Which is honestly nice to see from a dying genre of games. Look at changes from Tropico 3 to 4; for a blatant money grab.

What a beautiful game and the music is very nice!

Frame rates are rather poor with AA on, 22+fps at times. However turn AA off and I can run every detail Maxed out 47+fps most of the time it's over 60 and looks beautiful

Got through the demo last night, seems pretty cool, I can see why people would argue that its a complete re-skin, but the addition of 2 playable 'factions' as well as underwater building will change the play style from 1440 quite considerably I think.

Went ahead and preordered this, splashed out on the collectors edition as I had some Amazon vouchers spare from Nectar points.

Worth grabbing or leave it till sales/price drops?.

I'm tempted to wait awhile before getting it, it's due in a couple of days, but tis only a month till crimbo so prices might well drop a reasonable amount between now 'n' then.

I received it this morning. Won't be playing it for ages 'cause of Skyrim!

That's my problem. I really want to play Anno but I know for a fact it won't be touched until I get at least level 70/complete the main quest in Skyrim! :)

I think it'll have to be a christmas present for me.
