'Anti' Isalm cartoons....

Exactly look at what happened when we tried to be friends with Hitler and pander to his every whim. Everyone thought he would get bored or be satisfied with what we let him take, what a suprise when it turned out it wasn't enough and we should have reigned him in earlier.

I read somewhere that if Britain and France had opposed his move into the Rhineland Hitler would have withdrawn his forces and behaved himself, shows you what "ignoring silly little boys" leads to doesn't it.

Careful what you wish for, any such thing will be bloody and uncertain.

The only certain thing about it is it will eventually happen. :(

In some ways a 'war' has already started. Two countries so far have been invaded, with many complex factors but ultimately as part of a political struggle between East versus West.

As far as the war coming here, it has already happened in the hearts and minds of many on 'the other side'... to many of them it happened on 9/11

But it is a evil and ambiguous war. We are told that our enemies are our friends, and complete strangers who have no direct relation to the violence are indeed our sworn Enemies. They are constantly told that there is NO WAR, yet to some it seems there is only WAR, that their entire existence is about war.

I found those just posted infinitely funnier than the originals.
I see no reason why anyone should be offended by them and have little sympathy for those who are and none for those who take to violent means to express themselves.

This is how we traditionally deal with problems like this, by making a joke of them. It is part of who we are and nobody should seek to deny us that right of expression, it harms no-one.

On this point, I agree with you. We've done it since the world wars when Hitler would regularly appear in the Beano, and well before that I'd imagine. Again, my point of ignoring or laughing at the bullies, it can work in many situations.

fair enough. but whats the point of stirring it. why not post the originals here then. is it a free for all? maybe some nazi 'satire' toons of jews would be ok. where do we stop.

No offense but i'm completely and utterly bored of that excuse now, as true as it may be. Its starting to sound like a broken record. Where are these moderate Muslims? They should get off their asses and do better than one article on BBC news online with one guy condemning the reaction.

The irony of the cartoon with the bomb-turban is that its being proved true before our very eyes.*

*If you view it as showing how Islam has been hijacked by the Islamist extremists of course.
There is one sitting here posting this, why dont I want to get up and do something?
Because I cant be bothered, I have better things to do than think about what people think of us.
Its for the authorities to resolve not us.

I have have seen at least one Muslim on Sky News asking for the protesters to be arrested, as they should be. Violence is what we are trying to avoid - hence why the Free Speech supporters nor moderates have opened whoopass on extremists

  • The nations of the earth will gather against the Muslims like hungry people going to sit down to a table full of food. This will occur when the Muslims are large in number, but "like the foam of the sea".
  • Earthquakes will increase (Bukhari & Muslim)
  • Three major landslides (one in the East, one in the West, and one on the Arabian peninsula)
  • WAR
A major war between Muslims and Christians: Half the Christian army will sign a peace treaty with the Muslim army, while the second half of the Christian army remains the common enemy.
  • When violence, bloodshed and anarchy become common.
  • * People will indulge in homosexuality.
    * There will be an abundance of illegitimate children.
  • "Killing will increase.

Hmm interesting bunch
killing will increase - check
abundance of illegitimate children - check
muslims hated - check
violence common - check

I remember one of them being something along the lines of "man will know his tasks for the day by looking to his hip" - mobiles/pdas - ?

They are already posted or linked on here.
What do you think of when you think of Islam by the way? Iraq? Iran? Saudi? Taliban? Osama? Al-Q? 9/11 ? 7/7 ?

Should we endorse some thought police too ?
