Gotta love the irony of Penksi's new sig - I assume its aimed at those of us who are Islamocritical. Although its strange to use a picture of someone who is probably one of the worst human beings alive to suggest that anyone offering negative comments on Islam is in fact prejudiced

Hmm I just had a look at the sig. I'd have more respect for him if he came into SC and debated the subject rather than making childish digs in his sig. Oh well, as I've said before, I won't hold my breath.

Correct. It starred the actor who played Dr Bashir (sp) from Deep space 9.

I'd be surprised if an episode was cancelled, Kudos, the makers, do know how to approach a touchy subject with out going over the edge.

Front page of Sun -Spooks episode cancelled because of potential offence to Muslims...

This is starting to get serious, it seems that there are more and more people with less and less spine.
 
Considering that the term ****** has changed from common parlence to a taboo I wonder if it was always an insult. Of course, no-one would question it because questioning racism is likely to end up getting you accused of being racist.

Mind you his sig does make me laugh, its kinda ironic tbh..well with some of the views in here...blame muslims for everything and anything :p (btw im joking before you get your knickers in a twist;))

TBH the idea of a 'Christian extremist' is a generous stroy line to aid the cosntruction that anyone else apart from Muslims (excluding perhaps the NF or C18) can be considered to have an extremist faction - when was the last time a Christian shot a Muslim because he was a Muslim. Perhaps some of our 'moderate' forum members would insist that US and UK armies are hoards of invading Christians who bring death upon peace-loving Muslims only because they follow Poppet Mohammed PBUH
 
BBC denies axing Spooks episode

The BBC has denied claims an episode of spy drama Spooks is to be dropped over fears it may upset Muslims.

Newspaper reports claimed the BBC were set to axe an episode - due to be shown later this year - in which an al-Qaeda terrorist is shot dead.

But a BBC spokeswoman said there was "no question" of the episode being cut...

In a statement, the BBC said the latest episode in question was about a fictional Christian extremist.

It said: "This episode is not about al-Qaeda. There is no question of an episode of Spooks being scrapped.

"Spooks is known for its ability, even though it is filmed well in advance, to hit on issues that are highly topical and reflect modern life.

"It has gained a reputation for tackling difficult and relevant topics with care."

Have you seen Penski's sig?

It talks about 'blaming Muslims' but also shows a picture of Abu Hamza who is pretty much a walking, talking extremist stereotype.

It would be like saying "The Holocaust never happened" next to a picture of starving Jews in Auschwich (Sp?)

My sig is about free speech and solidarity against those who have been held accountable innapropriately

what do people get out of intentionally carrying this on especially so when they know it now offends them (muslims) highly. its just plain inconsiderate and downright stupid.
