AMD borked their RDNA3 consumer lineup when they deliberately mislabelled the actual 7800XT as the 7900XT so they could inflate the price for it. The actual 7900XT could be mislabelled as the 7900XTX(YZABC...just make something up), but it left them with nothing to put below that. They've sort of got something for the bottom end, but it's worse than last gen at the same price and they've got nothing at all for anything else in the lineup. Although a 60 CU Navi 32 would probably work as a 7700XT.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 7800XT is delayed and delayed and then finally slipped out quietly as a paper launch with very little product and/or at a price just under the 7900XT so nobody wants one anyway.

Navi 32 has 4 memory MCM's so the 7700XT might also be 16GB, take one off for the 7700 to make it 12GB. Edit Navi 32 could also be the RX 7800. actually probably is.

What AMD are doing in that ^^^ makes sense.

It feels like we need the 7800XT, it might disrupt the market a bit and bring down the price of the 7900s, which could then trigger Nvidia drops. Wishful thinking probably...

I think AMD will be quite careful about making sure the 7800 XT isn't in a position to cannibalise the 7900 XT, especially since it's already slipped in price quite a bit since launch.

Depends a lot on how it performs, which I know is a bit of an empty statement but the rumours for the Navi 32/7800 parts have been a bit all over the place if you ask me. But I could see around £600 being plausible, or rather $649, about the same price as the 6800 XT at launch.

Given the probable performance and the probable price, I doubt if we'll see it before all the 6800XT and 6950XT cards have been sold. My guess is that it will cost as much as a 6950XT and give lower performance. This generation is an expression of contempt for consumers.

Its been 7 months since the 7900XTX launched.

At this rate Nvidia will have an Ada refresh out before AMD release this card and then AMD will wonder why they are behind again...

At this rate the 7800xt will be coming out alongside the 7950xtx and xt which you would expect late this year.
