Any news on 7800 xt?

Except £396.16 x 1.20 is NOT £496.16, but about £475... :D
So where is the VAT added? The $500 or the £396? Probably the latter then but still doesnt get us a price under £500 unless OcUK dont want to make any money from selling these, which is doubtful..

I still stand by these being over £500 unless retailers get a discount for buying in bulk which is the only way we'd get them under £500.

But what do i know? I know i'll probably buy one in a month or 2 so i can have more than 8GB VRAM that i have on my 3060Ti :)

They'll be £500 plus easily.

Look at OCUK's 6800XT's, absolute lol pricing.

Latter indeed. Adding 20% in USD and then converting that to GBP makes no sense. Retailers' profit margin should be included in the MSRP (or what other prices they ask). VAT is not related to that.

Retailers buy an SKU for price x and sell it for price y, including VAT). Price x is not the MSRP but lies below that.

To be fair, OCUK did offer them for £499 not long ago. Looks like they're trying to capitalise on the Starfield hype and try to sell them expensively before being forced to reduce them on the 6th. But it is ridiculous pricing.

What gives me hope is the very fair conversion rate at the launch of the 4070. They started at £569, I believe ($599 MSRP) here at OCUK.

Yep, last chance to rope in a mug with a totally overpriced old card.

Anybody think this looks legit?

My guess is it's a 6800xt looking at the power usage. He must have tuned that 6900xt for it to be using such low power.

Edit: It is faster in Cyberpunk so throws out the 6800xt a bit but he could be altering settings to get the results.

True.. I'll be waiting on HUB and GN for official reviews, the only two that I really watch for benchmarks these days :)

Maybe reviews could come late tonight or tomorrow?

It’s important to highlight that this reference design is currently undergoing evaluation by reviewers, and the results are anticipated to be disclosed tomorrow, a mere day ahead of the official product launch.

Edit..

I might actually get this Sapphire ref version, would look pretty slick in my case, I cant get a triple fan card in without moving my rad anyway.

@Gibbo please throw some breadcrumbs to the masses, eagerly awaiting the launch :D. What can we expect in terms of availability and what is the GBP MSRP? When will the cards be available to purchase from OCUK? We got this information from you at previous launches (e.g., 4070), so it would be great to learn more about this launch, too.

Leaked benchmarks.

They're generally not allowed to do that, we used to get a picture with a pyramid stacking of cards before launch, before amd\nvidia got pissy about that as well. :(

Surely fake

If it's real then from a technological perspective Navi 32 is a failure because as pointed out it's drawing more power than the 6900xt and running much slower

That's why I think it's fake

These results appear to be at 1080p comparing 4070 reviews. It would appear the 7800xt is probably where expected at slightly faster than the 6800xt. TPU have the 4070 slightly faster than the 6800xt at 1080p and a few percent slower than 6800xt at 1440p. So raster may gain for the 7800xt over the 4070 as the resolution goes up. The big outlier is Cyberpunk in RT but apart from that RT is close enough.

That would mean the RTX4070 12GB is barely 10% faster in rasterised performance:
