Cheers z0mbi3, defo sounds interesting.

What is the actually package you get? 12 month contract? 18 month? line speed? limit etc etc.

Sorry for being a pain :P

I'll answer this for you, what you will get is what the max speed your line will support as in what else you get is....

all this for £7.50 pcm
free connection to thier network
upto 20mb (that is their package name an some have reported 24mb sync) 1.3mb up
o2box (tompson 585v7 router, this is leased from them) you can use your own.
unlimited downloads (fair usage policy applies)
dynamic ip address (static is £5 more but its only worth it for mail servers)
yes and the all important 12month contract, Be offer 3month but at £90 for a year its good

I came from adsl24 to 02 & its great :D

what are your current line stats?

Having never had ADSL is the only way to get your line stat to have it installed ?

That would be the only way to get accurate line stats. You could get a rough idea what sort of speed you might get by using the line checker on Sam Knows and finding out your distance from the exchange. However there is no way of knowing if your line takes an obscure route and is considerably longer.

Thanks it says 16mb+ as I live 225m away from the exchange, so hopefully that means i will get that

if anyone else wants any, drop me a mail in trust. i actually work in tech integration/3rd line in O2 broadband.

Hi. I would love it if you could sort me out a lovely broadband deal. Our internet is no more so i'm writing on my phone and trust won't pop up. Would you mind emailing me in my trust email to get started? Many thanks

hey z0mbi3 i sent you that email about the sign ups. what is this fastpath by the way? do i want that?

posted on page 7! google is also your friend!

I've already posted this link in here once, so here it is again but. It is only really gamers that love fastpath as it lowers the ping but it also inreases the modem sync.

Si MPS mabye you can help me out, I've just had to exercise my 50 guarantee because of what's going on. I've started gaming online again and noticed interleaving has been turned on whilst doing so. I've never needed interleaving on before as I live in quite a small town and have never had line problems and always had a very good sync rate, anyway the first level people keep telling me that interleaving isn't available for ipstream or that it can't be switched off. Is there anything you can do to help out? I'd rather not have to switch ISP AGAIN!.

Yup, any one who's waiting on a mail back don't worry I'm putting a chaser on today.

E-mail me in trust. I can register you before your line is activated.

I'm putting any furher discounts on hold for a bit now. Every one who's waiting for a mail back I'll still sort those out. I'm out of the office today but if you guys haven't recieved a mail by close of play tomorrow I'll send you the details manually.

I'll do some more discounts later on, I'm just finding it hard to keep up with the demand at the moment.

Still haven't got email through, sorry to keep pestering but i need to get away form Orange! ;)

Hi Z0mbi3

Many thanks for offering these discounts. I have emailed you; Ill email you again once the BT line is up and running. Ive read through all the posts and know what info you need :-)

I guess that will be next week, by which time hopefully you might be able to sort me out a nice bb service for £7.50.

Thanks; much appreciated :)

hey man, assuming you're on IPStream, the BRAS will crack interleaving on if you're getting a lot of errors. you can get the BRAS profile reset, but if your line is still erroring considerably, the BRAS will stick interleaving back on.

its best to take what you hear from 1st line with a pinch of salt.

Thanks for the advice mate, I called them again and they were unwilling to reset my BRAS profile. I had to exercise my 50 day money back guarantee as it was running out on Monday, I'll be going back to adsl24 until my exchange is unbundled and then I'll be back!

tbh its not O2 its BT wholesale that are messing them about, I went back to ADSL24 from O2 and back again as sadly Enta became comeplete swines and demanded a further £58.75 ontop of the £66.99 for rejoining from LLU. I liked ADSL24 but sadly their parent reseller is is crap! I used to have faith in Enta but sadly they are becomming exactly like the rest of the big boys :(

I hope your rejoining experience was not like mine, O2 all the way now :D

I can only get ipstream in my area at the moment so it's free to rejoin adsl24. LLU should be available in my area before the end of the year, I'm on an O2 mobile contract and will be switching back when it becomes available. To be honest if interleaving was sorted then everything would have been great as my download speeds rarely ever went below 700kbs, however first line support don't seem to eager to help if you're on ipstream. Any time I phoned all I got was "if you were on our unbundled service I could have this sorted for you in 2 minutes however you're on ipstream, being made aware of this every time you call isn't helpful and their unwillingness to help just ****ed me off. I'll definately be going back once LLU is available though, they have more control over the service.

There's a choice of auto (DLM decides), opt-in (interleaving on) and opt-out (off) on IPStream too - if they don't want to do it then that's an issue with O2, not BT.

Indeed.

For me it confirms my opinion of 'stay away from a decent LLU provider if you can only get their IPStream product'.

Woops, for got to star out my swearing. It's rather depressing when you try and get any form of help from first line support, It's a bit like banging your head against the wall.
