Anybody else who writes normal 'texts' like me?

My phone has a QWERTY keyboard so yeah I always write full length texts now. It actually takes me longer to think how best to shorten words so I just write full length.

Before QWERTY phones came along I just didn't text unless I really, like really, had to.

It actually bugs me thinking about writing like that on a cell phone, never mind people that do it on forums and the PC.

The only short hand that should be allowed really is when gaming and that is AFK and LOL.

I write full proper sentences with full SPAG.

Mainly because I don't want the recipient to think i've developed some severe form of mental retardation since I last saw them.

Mostly do. Except when i'm going onto a second text by just a few letters. Then I go through it and see where 'you' can be replaced with 'u' though can't bring myself to do it with 'are'.

even before i had a phone with predictive text i'd type everything out fully and as accurately and correctly as possible. Now that i have a phone with a full qwerty keyboard, it takes me seconds to write out a text using all 160 characters.

Same though if I'm slightly over 161 (or whatever the limit is) characters I might shorten a few words so it would be sent as one text and not two.

I always use proper punctuation and grammar, but spelling is abbreviated i.e. 2moro, n, u r, c u, etc.
