I was dreading it tbh. I slathered my fellas with loads of emla cream an hour before. Don't know how much it helped but the needles weren't too bad at all. One of my little fellas made a dash for the north so the doc had to rummage around a little. The worst part was the tugging feeling in my gut as he pulled the tubes. Oh, and the burning smell was a bit rank too!
32 hrs later and all seems fine. I'm slightly swollen a but not in any pain. Maybe a little ache in the pit of my stomch, like when you get kicked in the knackers, only much less. Fingers crossed, the healing goes well.
Got to put in my first sample after either 20 'shots' or three months then another two weeks later.
Thats what I did as she was having an adverse reaction to the pill and didnt want to be on it long term. The op was a doddle , a quick local and snip snip theyre done. Back onto the train an hour later and home for tea and medals. No probs during or after and was great fun getting the missus to play her part
My wife was as well, deeply moody for weeks, they chopped and changed pills for a while but she has the coil now and all's well, back to one irrational day a month rather than one normal day.
