£200 over 5 years? what an absolute joke, and FROM 2023...

The £150 CT to be refunded this year apparantly.

This country is going down the toilet fast, the whole enconomy is one big grift and has been for years. I would definitely bank and things getting worse economically, as they have been for 30 years if not more, cost of living has absolutely sky-rocketed and shows now signs of slowing down.

The economy has not been getting worse for 30 years if not more.

Gentlemen, I won't go for too long as it's not on topic but we're seeing the effects of deindustrialization in the west. We stopped making stuff, we're hostages of those who do.

Dont keep voting Tory then.....
Lol. Could you imagine the state we'd be in if Labour had had the authority to bring in the lockdowns they wanted?

I'm firmly in the "they're all a bit crap" camp, and no-one is more disappointed in this government than me, but "Corbyn and Starmer would have sorted this whole mess out" isn't particularly credible.

For the record, I never once whinged/complained about this country.

What I was saying, dragging this thread away from dreams of socialism and back on topic, was that this appears to be the perfect storm for killing GPU demand. As hard as it is to imagine right now having just been through the worst ever GPU draught, I fully expect the world to be awash with unsold GPUs, both new and used, this time next year. I would wager a lot of people paying way over the odds right now for what is 17-month-old tech will end up regretting it by next February.

LOL! How can you claim anyone would have handled Covid worse?

The whole govt is corrupt if you can't see that then you're blind, remember your gang of scammers, liars, cheats and thieves has been in power for 12 years, and has led us to where we are today, and also inflicted the biggest kick in the economic knackers imaginable just to try and deal with internicine warfare.

One extreme to the other. You'll fit round here just fine.

20 minutes ago on BBC news, looks like people are already wearing their coats indoors.

Sounds like she does not require a scarf to keep her warm though.

Aaaaaand ignore.

Weird thing is he joined this forum nearly 18 years ago so he can't be anywhere near as young as he sounds. It's important you grow out of thinking change is always good and the status quo is always bad by the time you turn 20.

I've been quite surprised at the attitude of a lot of the miners I've heard. There's a lot of "Well my mining has already paid for my outlay, so I might as well keep on mining until the merge"

It currently makes no financial sense to buy new GPUs purely for a mining rig, and I'd imagine the window for getting a decent return for your cards is shutting quite quickly. Once everything is set up, it must be quite hard to give up an easy source of income though, and there's always the chance for crypto to go back up and the merge to get delayed I guess.

So yes, I'm thinking April is most likely for the great GPU dump of 2022. Although miners merely backing off buying new cards has made a big difference in price and availability already.

Aaaand the weird thing is when presented with unarguable facts and evidence people usually go and hide behind the ignore button. Oh dear what's this nonsense about the status quo now?

14 posts in, what a stellar start to your OCUK career.

It's the BBC, they aren't going to be going round peoples homes with the heating on are they. Their going to this ladies home because the increased cost impacts her livelihood, and no doubt others. It doesn't mean people on this sub forum come under the same circumstances whilst posting about how their searching for the latest 30 series graphics card.
