Anyone using Wegovy?

This was the huge win I found from low-carb. I've fallen off the wagon again and trying to get back to it.

I'm curious what low-carb folk here eat on a daily basis, as so many things are now either 'bad' or 'expensive' and whatever I settle in to (easy to make/consume) seems to suddenly be 'bad for me' again, which makes it harder to continue.
I found one of those food box delivery things (I think it's the same company as hellofresh) that does keto or lower carb recipes. Switched to them this week, so far it's great. (it's greenchef if you're interested).
Breakfast is bacon, eggs, some cheese and a banger.

Bulk of my diet is many forms of meat (mainly ground beef), eggs, greek yoghurt, some greens, some cheese

I suspect by bad you refer to some of saturated fats, cholesterol, excessive protein, maybe excessive salt.
Some "common knowledge" about products being "good" or "bad" needs to be reset

The problem with doing low carb and trying to stick to "mainstream" health advice is that they are completely at odds with each other.

Cholesterol for example, doctors will tell you LDL clogs your arteries and causes high blood pressure and heart disease, yet a Harvard study recently found that 75% of people who have a heart attack have low LDL. Another study found that low HDL and high triglycerides was a much closer analogue for heart disease and most people doing low carb will find their HDL goes up and their trigs go down. There was also a big British Heart Foundation study that also found that higher LDL was correlated with lower all cause mortality.

Similarly we're told to eat low salt.

Since switching to animal fats (whole milk, eggs, butter, and a high red-meat diet) and needing extra salt due to leg cramps (common on low carb), my blood pressure has dropped from 148/110 and is now 118/62.

Doing low carb has enabled me to exercise and I'm now doing an outdoor job, which has also helped.

I eat about 90% of my calories from animal products, I have a bit of coleslaw, kimchi, sauerkraut, salad etc.

The health benefits have been astounding for me. My main concern was blood pressure but it's affected almost every aspect of my health, even things everyone says are just natural aging (less joint pain, better eyesight, I even have grey hairs regrowing with a brown base).

I'm literally doing the complete opposite of what my doctor has suggested having tried every diet idea he had and getting little to no results trying to "eat a healthy balanced diet". And I stuff my face when I'm hungry, I just naturally feel less hungry most of the time so I don't even have to think about calorie counting.

Stop, you sound like a conspiracy theorist. Just because it works for you does not mean it will work for everyone. - rebuttal…look at X influencer!

You are a sample of one.

Like Wegovy works for some people and clearly not to the OP, it might even be deadly.

We’ve been here before. I’m losing weight and eating crisps. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Balance diet, fibre, carbs, protein, exercise, don’t eat processed foods and portion control.

The guy said he was doing low carb and asked me a direct question, I shared with him the type of info he was directly asking me for.

If you don't like the info being discussed you could like just not read it and not respond.

Rather ironically, your attempt to shut down the conversation has just forced me to respond further to clarify something you seem to have not understood.

It's great that you have found something that works for you, your way doesn't work for everyone either, if someone asks me a direct question then I'm going to answer it, please feel free to report my posts if you think they contravene the forum rules

I'm on week 2 of using mounjaro, lost about 4kg so far (from 92kg). Not sure if the hunger suppression is just placebo at the moment because I'm trying to be better with my eating but definitely still craving sweet/sugary foods. Hoping 5mg will make it a bit better

Really good documentary about this on CNN right now called "Is Ozempic Right For You?” by Dr Sanjay Gupta - about diabetes, the history of ozempic/wegovy and the science behind it
