AOC u3477Pqu 34-Inch 3440 x 1440 Monitor

Lol so much for £400 :/
I knew even £499 would not be possible the base panel alone from LG must be more than that ;)

The AOC has a nice stand but I bet the rest of it is very close to the LG & TBH even with the early adopter issues like yours you have to say LG make a decent IPS monitor with a superb overall image.

Oh yeah the product itself was superb, the features, the performance and how it all works with you rather than against you (bulk of the credit goes to the joystick UI control!).

It's being listed here in Finland at 775€ (~ £615) in a shop known to be a bit expensive, and Finland isn't a cheap place to buy computer components at the best of times, so that £499 UK price is looking realistic. For comparison the LG is 1090€ in the same shop.

AOC's UK press release quite clearly stated £499 including VAT. I will quiz them on this on Monday if you like - I'm not sure on the source of Toms Hardware's pricing claims.

Any info on this....If it really is going to be £700 then id be more tempted to get the LG one but if its still going to be around the £499 price id probably wait.

Both prices are incorrect, at least for the UK. MSRP is now set at £599 with expected street price of £549 (not yet finalised). So still a great deal to be honest.
