Aorus Master / Extreme (3080+3090) Thread

I haven't had any issues with OCUK so I would still prefer to buy from here and I don't blame gigabyte although they do seem to be shipping fewer than other major brands are. I am 140 in the queue for the 3080 master and have moved only 22 places in 3 weeks a good chunk i expect were cancellations , so seem the wait for this card is very extreme I will phone tomorrow and see if any other brands are expected to be available sooner like I noticed msi shipped 100+ cards we need more numbers like that

Most people after they get their 3080, will probably never use Overclockers again. In the PC part scene, word of mouth spreads quickly and the lack of shipments / communication isn't doing the staff any favours and will probably hurt them to some degree. Remember, you're talking about 6000+ people who are tech savvy enough to buy PC parts (not that building a PC is that hard), but why would you then go on to use OCUK to buy more parts? The prices are super inflated and the communication / help you're going to receive is little to none.

OCUK have really dropped the ball. Hard.

Not many shipped. I went from 25 to 13 in the last 3 weeks and don’t think any of those were cancellations so they probably shipped 12 cards in total which isn’t great. Also if the update is to be trusted we may see 5 masters weekly..

I'm sure I'm not alone here but I'm starting to get very frustrated with this situation. It's been 6 weeks since the launch of the 3080's and nearly 5 weeks since the Aorus cards were released (I believe that they released on the 5th October). Nvidia stated that they didn't expect the demand they did but when you announce a card and tell everyone it's time to upgrade from pre-RTX, then they damn well should have expected the demand. Nvidia didn't start the pre-order on the 24th September, they released the product for sale, they should be compensating their customers for such a badly organized product launch.

This is in no way a criticism of OCUK, you can't deliver goods you don't have, although I'm starting to think the message you posted saying you were one of the leading suppliers of Nvidia products and would therefore receive priority from Nvidia is ********.

Before anyone tells me to cancel my pre-order, I'm not going to do that, I want the card as much as anyone else here does. I've only ever bought this one card during the launch window (and only because I really wanted the card before CP2077 comes out), is this how all the other launches from Nvidia have gone? If so they really need to sort their **** out.

No stock again today for the Xtreme. Still haven't moved from Pos 1 lads. Looks like that stock has gone AWOL again and judging by Gibbos post, I'm not surprised.

This is such a joke now, being told the same thing over again. Not holding much hope on the next 'delivery' now. I'm just holding out for the 6900XT release and keep which ever I get my hands on first. (I must say after the mess with this launch it would be a nice feeling to jump to team red + around 3090 performance* for the near enough the price of the 3080 Xtreme).

...who knows, maybe GigaMan is going to tell us there are large orders of all the cards shipping later today, and he wanted to tell us in person?

I like to think of myself as an optimist :)

@GIGA-Man will the eagles ordered within the first hour of release day likely arrive before the watchdogs codes expire ? If not how does Gigabyte plan on rectifying this for their customers.

This is all a Saga now, beyond poor. Just an FYI OcUK are obliged by law to provide key information for distance sales, which includes:

  • a description of the goods, service or digital content, including how long any commitment will last on the part of the consumer
  • the total price of the goods, service or digital service or the manner in which the price will be calculated if this can’t be determined
  • how you will pay for the goods or services and when they will be provided to you
  • all additional delivery charges and other costs (and if these charges can't be calculated in advance, the fact that they may be payable)
  • details of who pays for the cost of returning items if you have a right to cancel and change your mind
  • details of any right to cancel - the trader also needs to provide, or make available, a standard cancellation form to make cancelling easy (although you aren’t under any obligation to use it)
  • information about the seller, including their geographical address and contact details and the address and identity of any other trader for whom the trader is acting
  • information on the compatibility of digital content with hardware and other software that the trader is aware of (or can reasonably be expected to be aware of).
So in short we should have an answer to the Watchdogs question, Is the given code compatible/redeemable with the purchased item given it's delay. (I'd consider it not compatible if you cannot redeem it.)
And we should have a date as far as I can tell.

Just sayin....

Hello all,

Here is some info on the models to arrive in OCUK in the next day or so from us, sorry it took me a while to collect the info and I was away yesterday.

GV-N3070AORUS M-8GD 1.1 = Low number

GV-N3070EAGLE OC-8GD = Very high teens

GV-N3070EAGLE-8GD = Very small number

GV-N3080AORUS M-10GD = Very small number

GV-N3080AORUS X-10GD = Very small number

As fustrated as I am at OCUK as much as you, waiting in POS 1 for my 3080 Xtreme, The watch dogs code @Slyquick is out of Giga-mans control. It was an Nvidia promotion and they royally dropped the ball on that one with the expected stock availability. Asking giga who is a rep, is useless. You'd probably have to contact Gigabyte support directly, or better yet, Nvidia support.

Also, I get what you're saying, and if you read my post history @Timeslider you'll know I'm just as fustrated and sick of the lack of communication we're getting. We're alll going stir crazy on the forum. However I don't that falls under the 'pre-order' agreement. Yes I know they had an expected delivery, etc etc. But still don't think it counts.

Imagine how me and @Don Guido feel, we've only had 1 3080 Xtreme. We were hoping for some 3080 Xtremes being shipped today, but nada. 3080's released before 3090s too. I'm POS 1 for my 3080 Xtreme and I think Don is 40+.

This point is moot, they made the rules for the queue, and the rule was that the queue would be per graphic cards, they didn't specific that it would be per graphic cards + per type or purchase. Either way, why they didn't announce that they did receive it and allocated to pre-built systems? Communication is key, and if they are hiding communication it sounds ominous.

If staff pre-ordered, they are just another user, they should have a queue number, and have to wait, that is ok, but this is also a moot point because we have the queue number 1 guy here saying that he havent moved over this batch of 3...
they arent obliged to sell it to whoever buys it first, they sell it to whoever they want. If they want to sell all of their stock to staff they can.

It becomes a distance sale at the point they take your money. Hence why the cancellation form is available.
Remember they chose to sell these items, knowing they could not secure stock. Asking for a date and if the software that’s advertised with it will work isn’t a big ask, in fact it’s mandated.

I’m not angry I just want answers, kudos to you for defending them – they don’t deserve you.

OcUK in this instance is a reseller, their only job is to manage stock and provide customer service, can you put your hand on your heart and say they have done this effectively?

i think it's a bit early in the day to start getting angry about shipments today, still plenty of time to get the shipment/queue position email out.

OCUK are basically saying what they can, we are all still waiting in line because at least with a queue,we still have a chance of getting the card this year, if you are all as unhappy with their service as you are making out i am sure you are quite welcome to cancel and try and order a card elsewhere, but most retailers over here in the UK are in a worse position, i will happy just wait it out!

I sold my 2080 super and purchased the xtreme 3080 starting to get a bit annoyed with the delays now as 1 month become 2 and so on with little or no information on when to expect these other than the not so true updates on stock that comes in but goes missing' i start think personally that they are delaying a lot of 30 series sales with a warehouse full sitting there just to shift the remaining 20 series cards as they seem to be priced as before and readily available as the next best thing as cant see AMD's 6000 series being any easier to obtain if everyone thinking of jumping ship if still waiting for their 30 series.

Starting to rage with using a 1030 currently :(
