Aorus Master / Extreme (3080+3090) Thread

*One* 3080 xtreme sent out in a week? Yeah, no. There is no way OC were sent one single card by a supplier, there is definitely something dishonest afoot here.
That would be called stealing there buddy
Nahh they gave him the money back and the card, either way sums up the company.... It's funny I did wonder if they would cancel orders on people complaining to much, if this is true kinda supports all the hate. 'IF'.

Personally wouldn't be shouting about it, what ever the legal standpoint saying nothing prob would have gone unnoticed? Now not so much :)

They are not cancelling at people complaining mate (they would loose so many customers that way and not their way here really), if that was the case we would have all had our purchases canceled. I think this guys a troll and It could be a error by OCUK and the card was meant for another customer and he got it and they were meant to refund him or another customer that wanted a refund and got mixed up. Anyways he will either have to pay for it or send it back. That's the law when you receive an item not for you or not paid for, only thing OCUK has to do is send a courier with prepaid return and the customer or person receiving an item not for them has to return it, if not it becomes theft and the authorities involved.

Agree thats why I put a big "'IF'" at the end buddy, and "Personally wouldn't be shouting about it, what ever the legal standpoint saying nothing prob would have gone unnoticed? Now not so much :)"

Exactly and what he doesn't realise is they can legally ask for it back or they can take full payment for it.

I think the jokes on him, unless he's just trolling.

Not trolling. I've been on this forum from day 1, position 1.

Also, it's not stealing. It's called unsolicited goods. I'm under no obligation to send this GPU back. The mistake was made on the end of OCUK by refunding the order. The GPU was in my name. I paid for it, they just chose to refund me. So now I have a free GPU.

If they want me to send it back or demand money for it, that's illegal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013. So looks like OCUK have just messed up.

I was clear from the start, that the Aorus Cards I was getting from competitors and from Germany, were not mine. They were for friends. I also haven't hidden the fact that I strongly believe something weird is going on with stock at OCUK and have been very vocal about it. It's clear that OCUK haven't been honest, as the day I called they assured me I wasn't cancelled (after another person on this thread, said they told him I was). Few days later, I get a dispatch email for my card, and today I have a refund (that's cleared, it's not pending).

In my orders page, it says refunded. So why was I cancelled? If I had to guess, it was either because they had enough of me talking about the practices at OCUK (that's why I said they sent me the card to shut me up when I originally got the shipping email) or because I had multiple GPUs on order (for other people) from competitors, again, not against OCUK TOS/Rules. If OCUK really didn't like the way I was talking about them, it was extremely easy for them to know which order to cancel since I've said from day 1, what position I was on the Xtreme.

Either way, they aren't getting the card back, I'm not paying for it, nor do I have to legally. They made a mistake, and the consumer rights say I'm well within my legal right to keep it.

Next time OCUK, don't cancel and refund my order, if you're going to send me a card anyway. If you guys want to be mad at anyone, be mad at OCUK.

I received an order I cancelled. Can I keep it?
This is a mistake. As above, you need to arrange for a return by a deadline you give.

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) which say you have a right to keep goods delivered to you that you didn’t request.

He requested it and then an admin error, meaning he will have to return or arrange payment for it. Or it's theft.

I've just checked my statement today, and what's that? A refund for my OCUK payment. Very weird. I didn't put a order cancellation form in,

I didn't cancel it. They refunded it without me asking for a refund or canellation.

It still falls under the Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013. I should know, I've just texted my brother who's a solicitor.

You guys can be mad all you want, I honestly don't care. It's not theft if THEY cancelled and refunded me. I never (again for the third time) requested a refund or cancellation. The fault, AGAIN, is on OCUK.

It's all utter *** if you must swear, star it out fully *** only 3 aorus xtreme 3080 cards have been sent to OC and only one that we know of shipped. the persons order has not been shipped and same as the other 3080's he have on order with OC they are currently on hold whilst they fulfill individual orders first and not bussiness orders of multiple 3080's like his.

Seems more like he has pestered OC to get his cards but wasnt happy he has to wait so cancelled them and got a refund.

Look if OCUK refunded you the money and sent the item to you then it was clearly a mistake. If its a mistake then you have to return it but OCUK have to send a courier to a deadline that you provide. I'm not getting mad, I'm simply trying to give you some advice. It's for your own benefit.

Again as stated you ordered it , you got it then an admin error. So it is not unsolicited goods... But an admin error .. read the law. Then ask your brother the solicitor. I work in I.T and we sell hardware for servers too and sometimes mistakes happen but what you are saying is wrong. Read the law correctly. I don't give a damn if you keep it or not, just letting you know the facts.

Exactly .. I'm trying to highlight to him don't get yourself in legal bother over a GPU and by what has happened it clearly has to go back or be paid for.

I could care less if any company made a mistake and made a loss that's their problem, what I'm trying to let him know is he's in the wrong legally and to let him know so not to make a mistake that's not worth it.

OC's inability to find their own arse in the dark with the help of a torch wedged firmly up it aside, do we have any stock delivery updates? @GIGA-Man , anything for us mate?

Edit: I'm one of those in the 3080 Xtreme queue, the one that only seems to move from cancellations.

This guy seems like the type of guy to take the GPU out of the box and send it back empty and said it was in the box when he sent it back though, OCUK are going to have fun with him i think

Huge update, probably going to Peep a lot of you off, but made me chuckle at OCUK expense.

Apparently some dolt who works at OCUK shipped me the card when it actually was suppose to get cancelled. Looks like I've peeved someone off (probably gibbo) with my emails to gigabyte reps or the fact I was able to snag multiple cards elsewhere.

Anyway, when I called that day, they said I wasn't cancelled. They shipped me a card and I've received a 3080 Aorus Xtreme. HOWEVER- I've just checked my statement today, and what's that? A refund for my OCUK payment. Very weird. I didn't put a order cancellation form in, and I'm sitting with a 3080 Xtreme sent by OCUK.

So, I go check my order status on OCUK, and guess what I see:

So not only did OCUK lie to me saying I wasn't cancelled and then cancelled (and fully refunded me), they shipped me a card anyway and an email to say so. Guess being in position 1 really paid off.

:D:D:D:D:D. Thanks for the free GPU OCUK, you guys really are incompetent. Also for anyone wondering, no I'm not sending the card back, and no I won't be giving the refund back. Their mistake, my gain.
Wow. Something just isn’t right here

Wrong.

Its not theft.

Its a civil matter because they sent it to him. They would need to take him to court for the money. Theft is taking without permission.

You guys won't be disappointed when you get yours. I've had my Master 2 days now and wow! Playing in 4k 144z is incredible and so smooth on Ultra in all games I've tried so far.
4k 144z...old games right? so far from what i have seen new games are bearly getting over 60 at lowest fps when running max settings at 4k

144hz is still probably for 1080p, it just gives you a way of playing 144hz 1080p and 4k 60hz on same monitor.
