Aorus Owner's Lounge

I'm hoping that's for the normal scheduled shipments that would have been arranged in advance.... And that our units are outside the normal shipping schedules

I am hoping the same honestly........ lets see what they'll say... I am sure we will get our answer soon :)

I have sent an email to Atom80, I'm sure he will let us know asap :)

Hi Chaps,

Small amount of stock has left factory and is on way to OcUK, your units will of course be prioritised and shipped first. If flights and couriers meet normal schedule we expect stock to arrive by Friday.

Thanks for your patients.

Hi ads_green,

Can you please check your voicemail as OcUK have left a message regarding customs clearance of your returning unit.

It's just been so frustrating all the way through... completely dead laptop... being told DPD would pick up the goods not once but twice... hanging around for two days for a pick up that was never going to happen (even though I had all the texts emails saying it was all booked in)... In fact if I hadn't called back I'd have never known they were never coming... rubbish advice from royal mail... 4 hours on the phone in customs hell...

And now am in that uncertain place where I've no idea whats going to happen. Is the laptop going to be released to OC? Will royal mail return it? (have been advised that usually sorts itself out *in a couple of months*) What will happen to stock in the meantime?

Why customs? Why your laptop is blocked there? If yours is there mine could be too....I'm really sorry man it's a nightmare and I feel you. Please could you explain why onto it case they are holding the laptop? Isn't aorus business taking care of customs? This all situation is a mess..... Not happy at all

uestion I'm asking now is

I was advised by Jersey Post that the items wouldn't qualify for insurance if the declared value was £1. So I had a choice - put in £1 and if it got lost or damaged that's what I'd get back or put the real value in.
Customs have flagged this and said "that'll be 300 quid please" even though the other supporting documentation clearly has all the return and original information on.
Since found out that the advice from jersey post was utter rubbish.

What now? no idea. Three weeks of too-ing and fro-ing and the net result is a laptop I can't even trace where it is in a status I can't control or affect with the prospects "bleak" at best. I guess the question I'm finding myself asking is "do I really want a new laptop? Is it worth this stress and hassle?"

I hope I'm not going to have the same issues with customs...

Depends if you were given rubbish advice from your courier like I was.

Hi chaps,

Xrkc6x - you shouldn't have any problems, relax, the issue is specific to Jersey and tax laws etc.

ads_green - Our understanding from talking to OcUK is that a certain box on the customs paperwork wasnt ticked, which prevented it clearing customs on way out of Jersey. We don't know if this was based on advise from any couriers, or simply a mistake. We hope this gets sorted swiftly anyway.

To be clear this isnt anything to do with goods being shipped from AORUS to OcUK - we still expect stock to arrive with them on Friday.
