Anyone here finding there pro battery goes flat quick if leave pencil on. Apple told me it should make a difference if pencil charge is full

I have suspected this is an issue and there are people reporting, on Apple's forums, up to 10% battery loss overnight. I'll try do my own testing over the next few days and confirm.

Was glass one.

Odd, you prepared for it. Used a lint free cloth, rocket blower to blow any extreme particles then pressed the glass from the centre? I used both and never had bubbles.

I had to ditch the flimsy cover after a year as it started to get all marked. Unlike the glass which is still solid from the day it was installed. Plus I found the glass screen made the colours a little smidge richer. Just a tiny bit and the pen feels nice on it.

I had that problem for the first week or so but seemed to go away. Battery life is damn impressive imo!

I know it's not current tech, but I received the 9.7" iPad Pro yesterday and think it's absolutely superb. The screen is great and the addition of the extra speakers is very much welcomed.

I'll probably get the new Pro at some point, but for my needs, this will do me fine for the next few years.

Really tempted to grab a 11 pro, never owned an iPad before. Currently I have a 2011 13 MacBook Pro and iPhone XS Max as my main internet/music/videos sources.

Hey guys, new iPad pro 2018 model purchased (12.9 256gb with pencil - all in for £1070 which is still way too much!)
What are your go to apps and accessories? Bought it for the wife to get her arty business up and running but would like to get the most out of it considering how powerful it is!

That's a good price skaif, where is this from? My Apple discount through work is a paltry £18 on the 11" one. I can alternatively get 8% from a Curry's reward scheme but that still £70 more than your price :(

It was during blackfriday from theedustore - they had a 5% discount code at the time and 4 year warranty. Not sure if its still discounted though.

Loving the new iPad Pro 12.9... i bought the other pro on release three years ago finally upgraded with the new keyboard cover and pencil.

Looking at doing the same here . My 12.9 gets used everyday and has really replaced a laptop , mainly spreadsheets and media use .

How much of a general user experience and upgrade will I get from a gen 1 to a gen 3 ?

Cheers

Tempted to pickup either an 11" 2018 model or the 10.5" 2017 model. Primarily would be used for photograph editing and some light video work which makes me look at the 12.9" but my word that thing is big.

Does one adjust to the size or not?

Yeah you get used to the size. It's an amazing piece of kit. Get the bigger one you won't be disappointed.

Been playing with Google Earth on the new 11”, really stunning looking round cities in 3D at 120fps.

I've had my 2018 12.9" Pro for a while now, just got a folio keyboard case to go with it. Very impressed overall, performance is great especially compared to the iPad 4th gen it replaced.
The case seems to almost double the weight, but still doesn't feel too heavy overall. Keyboard is nice to use, I particularly like that half the screen isn't taken up now by the onscreen keyboard.

Very glad that I went for 12.9" now, as I wasn't sure if it'd be too big when I was checking the two models out in the Apple Store. You do get used to the size quickly and when multitasking I'd even welcome a bit more screen space!
