Arcane (Netflix series)

It's like an RGB light or RGB strip that you normally stick behind your TV or off to the side, and it can "react" to whatever's on your TV, so that the colours of what's on screen kind of "bleed" out to your surroundings.

I have a Govee myself that I bought completely on a whim. While I do agree it's particularly good for animations (Akira is another good one), there is a split second lag as the camera or whatever "reads" what's on screen and then reacts, which is a bit offputting. The novelty wore off for me pretty quick and I haven't used mine in literally like a year...

No issue with lag here, and I use it regularly

Which version do you have? As I have Govee T3 Lite and firmware updated

T2. You can kinda see it in this clip here, when the shots change between light and dark, and it takes a fraction of a second to match.

But aside from that issue, the camera also runs hot even when it's "off", meaning I have to physically unplug it every time just for peace of mind, plus watching things with real people in it, it just doesn't really add much to the experience, and is more of a distraction if anything for me.

Can't believe there isn't more discussions about the last act. My word....some absolutely brilliant scenes.

Spoilers, for those who haven't seen it yet:

Damn, that "He's your dad too" scene :(
The flashback to being at the bar with Silco, Vander and Vi/Jinx's mom with the music from Act1 is great
And as for the last few minutes...the leap off the sheild to the crescendo of the song, flipping to an alternative animation style showing Jinx and Isha..... its just.... perfection.

They've really, really got a lot to cram into the last act. I really, really hope they manage to stick the landing...it can be a very, very difficult thing to do.

Was that dude (jayce?) possessed by something?

There is a theory:

That he's not quite himself (as Viktor says) but more that he's seen what the runes are capable of and what will happen if Viktor isn't stopped so is forced to take pretty extreme action. Theory is also that Viktor is no longer the person he was anyway, so he's already dead in Jayce's eyes.

Agree, the latest batch of 3 ep's really stepped it up a notch

Some great scenes and animation

I have to say it’s pretty damn good and defines it’ own space so you’d have difficulty comparing to anime etc. only recent animated series close is Arcadia troll hunter.

If anyone is thinking of going Govee or Ambilight and hasn't yet.... Do it for Arcane! WOW
Done, I don't need telling twice!!

Well, it's added to my Amazon basket in case there is a Black Friday discount :D

As for season 2, so far, absolutely amazing. I was left raging as I thought there were only 6 episodes (I thought the whole series had dropped in one go).

Yep that'll do nicely with my 55" Oled!

Looks great, thanks for posting it :)

You're welcome!

It will take some time to set up in terms of colour calibration as every screen is different which includes saturation/white balance and brightness levels. But once it's set up right, it will look bloody awesome!

Really amazing for sci-fi movies and animation. :D

So the Govee 3 Lite is on offer for Black Friday, down from £89.99 to £55.79, quite a saving!

REALLY looking forward to those final 3 episodes now! :D:D

Not reading thread as only seen s02e01.. Man, it's as good or better than it ever was. If it maintains through s2 this level it'll easily be my favourite TV show of maybe all time.
