ArcheAge, Ultima Online's rebirth?

Think im gonna get the $50 one. I can wait a month or so for beta to start. Pity they banned a load of non russian accounts though i really enjoyed playing it.

You get quite a sum of subscription time, cash shop coins and goodies with the packs. I'm happy with my purchase of £109 because I would probably spend more than that in the subscription and cash shop after release anyway. 3 months Patron pass has $45 value, 11.25k credits worth $75 and then little bits and pieces. More than adds up to me for the chance to develop my understanding of the game before release.

I would have definitely bought the $50 pack if Wildstar wasn't around the corner.

I'm going to be into AA once it goes live as to me it looks as if the PvP will **** over anything else (I hope) - a lot of the pvp guilds that were planning on ESO to fulfill their needs are jumping to AA.

I do have some concerns over the recent big patch that hit the Korean servers as it wasnt very well received -with luck Trion carve off the bad things that dint go over well.

So WS for PvE, and AA for PvP :)

So I'm now level 40 after taking my time enjoying the game, exploring, crafting and helping my mates build a house.

Rolled with Vitalism, Auramancy and Songcraft to try out being a healer in AA, it's alright but casting time can be slow and in pvp you are picked off quite easily without the help of a melee or ranged class.

Loving every aspect of the game so far apart from being ganked by level 50's the moment hellswamp zone goes to war.

XP is easy to come by whether it's grinding, questing, crafting or uprooting. You can hit 50 quickly if you put the effort and hours in, but then you miss all the game has to offer even in Alpha.

Economy is kinda broke in Alpha now due to the rewards if you hit top 10 in the leaderboard for fishing.

All in all a much better experience than ESO and GW2 already, worth the £109.

PS - If any of you wanna be in a very hated pirate guild then pm me lol.

Haters gonna hate

Can anyone in the alpha explain in short why you feel this game is worth £109, compared to say, Wildstar, ESO or other free to play games?

There is a lot of depth to it, it reminds me a lot of the old school open world PvP. For example there are trade routes which you can do which rewards well but these are open world and anyone can come and attack you and steal your **** kind of thing. It feels like old school rules in a new age game.

The depth of Archeage in alpha far surpasses anything ESO has to offer, I quit ESO after 30 days due to it lacking in a number of areas.

As for Wildstar I cannot comment.

But what I will say is that if £109 is too much money then definately pay for beta access and get a feel of the game before launch later in the year, because you need to suss out which class combinations work for you.

It's no good getting your occultism, songcraft and vitalism to 50 and then realising they are crap, as you will have start levelling a new skill tree up from scratch.

I'd buy it just to do one of the trade quests, like accross the continent on a rowing boat when the gulf is at war lol
