but also want a plot of land/housing, as per my previous statement... if it was anything like UO.... people are going to snatch up as much land as they can to sell the plots on for greater prices.

I cant wait to get into this game. I purchased the cheapest beta / early access package, simply because while I would love to play earlier (alpha), I would rather wait and save the excitement. I'll get to familiarise myself with the game and the 1.2 changes during beta then be ready for it to go live

It finally sounds like nearly everything I was looking for in a game.

Bought this game last week. Best £110 spend in a long time

There is a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. If you like MMOs, and in particular you like the crafting/exploring side of MMOs, then this is the game for you.

You get your own farm!! Glider! Boat! You don't just get given a mount, you have to play with it and feed it while it grows...and you know in other games, when you dismount and it mysteriously vanishes? Not this game, it stays by your side. Simple, but so cool. Great game.

Theres no anti-cheat on the servers at the minute, so hacks and bots are rampant.

Any idea if anti-cheat will ever be added? Or will it be down to player reports? I got fed up of reporting bots in Rift, only to see the same bot farming the same spot weeks later.

I watched the character creation for Archeage today, getting me really excited. I will most likely fork out for the beta package, can't justify 2 copies of Alpha currently, but beta is a lot cheaper

Also just got a beta invite - though the Glyph downloader software sucks as I couldn't pause the download once it started, all 21.9Gb of it. It times like this I really wish my fibre was installed already.

It just restarts where it left off when you restart the app. Or at least it did for me.

This is the line in the sand for me, if they demonstrate they can get that down to a minimum (to where its not so noticable) I'm sold.

They really should explain it a little better.
