ArcheAge, Ultima Online's rebirth?

so would I be right in assuming; if I wanted to play continuously then I'd have to buy the ARCHEUM pack? or is this simply not the case for EU yet?

so there's a continuous alpha going on but then beta weekends? o.O think I may be thinking about this too much and confusing myself lol

Yes theres a continuous alpha going on, however during the beta weekends the alpha servers arent available so everyone will be on the beta servers for that time

and yeah.... land race is going to be a *****, as mentioned previously about UO.....

if you've not got one in the first few hours.... good luck buying them off other players at inflated prices xD :p (my prediction anywho)

Yeah I've used the last couple of weeks in alpha to hone the landgrab so that I have the quickest possible time to place
 
Well, got to lv 10, it's VERY quick leveling. Very quick.

If the mobs spawned faster and you didn't have to wait to get first hit on one. I think you could get to 10 in an hour easy.

This disappoints me greatly, I was hoping for a return to the long grind of the good old Korean MMo's. This trend of super fast leveling and getting to level cap in a day or two ruins the experience for me.

I can understand early level's passing quickly but there's no sense of achievement in modern MMo's these days it seems, I guess I'm in the minority though.

Still, it's a free to play game so can't complain (even though I actually just have) :D

levelling is easier at the start, but everything else is a grind!

Yea, I miss the days of Lineage 2 before it become easy to play. When it first came out. Doing your lv 40 class quests took at least 3 days! It was brilliant. HUGE sense of achievement. Sadly, I feel this isn't the same.

I'll try and play some more today. But I'm at work :(
