I seriously cant settle on a character in this game. What are peoples opinions of the 4 races in this game? Purely from an aesthetic perspective wtih decent gear and their animations/areas.

I usually play a female character so am kinda torn between elf/nuian/harani.

When unless you are into bestiality I think you need opinions on only 3 races.

Love this game just gone afk as im out of labor points and I don't have any labor potions left.
Currently level 19 basically I have got my house (not developed) my rowing boat and mount. I haven't touched any side quests and I stopped doing the main story as soon as I had enough gilda start for my house.
Ive done my first escorting the guild on a trade run, but you don't get rewarded for that. But it was ok as I go to see a lot more of the game than I do mining the starting area:p
Apart from mining, smithing and masonry I don't have any idea what to do in the game while im waiting for my labor to get back up. Any ideas?

I'm holding off patron subbing, If the game keeps my interest for a month I'll consider it. I know the benefits of Patron far outweigh being a F2P but weve all seen it before were hype outweighs a games actual merits.

Yeah I feel the same. Subbed to many MMO's in the past that never lived up to their expectations. That said, the que times are making it more and more tempting to sub...

I don't know why, but because they've released it as F2P but yet you basically have to subscribe to enjoy the game/get past the queue; it's meant I really really don't want to part with my money.

If they released this as a subscription game, I'd have subscribed without hesitation. Now I just feel they are conning their customers into subscribing and so I don't want to give in and let them think this is fine to do. I mean, it is a decent enough MMO, but it's nothing new. Questing has already become more boring at level 20 than WoW (for example) ever was. It's pretty much a straight linear path through each zone, with very predictable quest rewards. Another thing I noted, if you need to collect some item from a group of mobs (a book for example), it pretty much always drops on the first one you kill. I know that it's annoying when you have to grind it out in other MMO's for single item quest drops, but in hindsight, it's actually not annoying. Predictability is annoying.

Items dropping are almost non-existent so far. Makes the game very samey...everyone looks identical with their 7 piece quest armour sets.

The game is not about questing, thats just to get you setup but you're right it's very boring. The game is all about the end game.

Sounds like even more reason they should have just released this as a fully fledged subscription game then and stopped messing about their customers with this F2P/P2W BS

I'm not a tight wad, it just doesn't sit quite right with me. There's one guy further up the thread who is a patron and is wondering what to do as he's used his labour points up for now. We all know why this problem exists, and what the resolution is (pay more £££).

I dunno, I just guess my personal problem is that I'd want 100% uninterrupted gaming time if I was paying £131.88 a year to play it.

The guy above could go quest and come back when labour had regenerated.

You craft/mine/gather until no more labour, go quest or do something else then come back. That is how all us patrons deal with no labour, it's not exactly hard to do anything in this game at all. If it wasn't for labour people would be farming all day and saturating the market, with it in place it extends the life of the game as it makes items mean something as you need to grind for them and manage labour.

He could, but then he has to spend labour points to "identify" loot grabbed off mobs, and if he comes across any resource nodes on his travels then that's more labour points if he wants to harvest them.

The real currency in this game isn't money ... it's labour points, without them you can't do anything, and the only way you'll ever have enough of them is by getting out your credit card.

Personally I've found the game interesting enough, but the launch has been terrible, and I don't have sufficient trust in Trion to want to pay them anything. Might be a game worth looking at in several weeks/months down the line once the dust settles a bit. I can see a lot of people moving on after a month or so ...

So if I upgrade to patron how does this house/farm malarkey work ?

I understand you have to find an available slot to build on but does it have to have room for your farm ? Can you expand your farm ? can you have more than one ? cheers in advance.

Barely any loot is dropped of mobs, had a few things but nothing that would destroy my labour pool. It's there to make you chose what to use them on, that way you can't do everything. You can still pvp, tend your farm and actually farm in the meantime. In the end you can farm money and buy labour pots of the AH, never have to spend a penny.

I personally like the system as it makes you think what you want to do, it's boring in other mmo's when things are made to easy to get in this it's not the grinding of mats it's the gathering and processing of them that is the time sink.
