Any news how many Zotac Cards they had in ready for yesterday and are getting in today? I managed to order at 14.09 but have no dispatch message so guess I missed the cut for the initial stock, which was always to be expected even if 14.09 seems to be quite early compared to others

I got my order in for the Zotac at 14:03 no dispatch notice either, although at least it's changed from awaiting payment status
 
Supply and demand -
You can certainly blame OCUK and their price gouging.

Agree - Just come out and say it already. Prices have gone up due to demand. People would still buy them

Using the excuse of currency changes (3% change in $/£ in last 8 weeks) - and then adding £50-£80 (around 14%) is just pathetic.

Feel sorry for those who have no clue what's happening - those that have had payments taken with no updates.

Very poorly handled.
 
Is the exchange rate really that volatile that you have to literally wait right up until the selling window to set the final price?

I don't buy it, this is simply extracting as much money from your customer base as possible.

Fair play people will pay it, but others like myself are put off by these shady practices.
 
I'm glad I missed out on this yesterday.
I think waiting for a month or 2 will see prices stabilise or like some have said in the thread already, the possibility of a 20Gb model could slot nicely in between the 3080 and 3090.

On a side note, Currys have the cards priced competitively, even if you cant order for delivery. Someone might get lucky and have local stock.
 
LMAO. Nvidia restock? That was it mate, all gone. Nvidia wont be making anymore FE. Its AIB only now. I even saw a review which said you were lucky if you managed to grab an FE as it is without doubt the best 3080 card and is now very rare and sought after.

This comment is a deposit from a male cow.

Nvidia will continue to produce and sell these cards through out the cards life span as they have done with every card.
 
Although I am semi enjoying this currency, police contacting dribble we are seeing.

Customer service hasn't been great.

I usually use *Third Party* for my parts, this was my first experience of oc... I get yesterday was a tough day.

However Gibbo promised us an update in the morning after speaking with Nvidia (Last nights post). Still waiting on this update? I mean even a mass email acknowledging what happened yesterday, why it happened, what we are waiting for would be great? Again this doesn't necessarily need to include when we will get the card, just if we have got them etc.

I am here for the update... bit bored of 24 hours of f5 bashing. :D

This site is run and paid for by OCUK and mention of competitors is not allowed. :)

And good luck if you ever have to RMA anything of substance with said competitor.

And yes, I am speaking from experience.
 
It is strange way to run things, mainly on nvidias part, why would you launch and hype up a new product and then not have enough to sell, funny thing is they seem to have this every time.
I shall still buy one though, stupid me, may even get a 3090 for the lols

Called earlier, was ringing for 1 hour and 5 mins, no answer whatsoever, have sent a webnote. Feels very shady like they are purposefully dragging things out to ignore customers whilst they sit on their money.

Hope that isn't the case but my experience with companies (during COVID especially) has been awful, happy to take your money but then radio silent when things go wrong.

I mean even if I wished to cancel at this point I can't because nobody at OC seems to be responding...

Gotta create that false supply and demand. I don't think many of us would be bothered if they announced supply would be limited at first as it would save people wasting hours of their day trying to grab one. What's annoying is pretending it's an official launch and not just a paper one with a few thousand cards available in each country.
