I think I may as well keep my order, is not going to be easy to get one from elsewhere any earlier or cheaper\same price, looks like my old trusty 980ti's well earned retirement will have to wait another month or so.

When you are on the pre order list do you have to put down a decent deposit or is the full amount taken, i don't like the idea of £750+ being taken for an indefinite amount of time if it was a couple of weeks fare enough but months without having any idea when you would get a card.. no thanks.

Full amount taken.

Thanks for the update Gibbo but I do not feel it answers the expectations which were given yesterday by yourself.

You strongly indicated that there was already stock for the Zotac 3080 and there was more coming today to service purchases. Your post today seems to indicate that is not the case. In addition, I believe it is only fair that each person who ordered is given an indication of where they are in the waiting list so they can fairly determine whether it is worth waiting it out or not.

We had Zotac in stock and at time of making my post one batch of Zotac had come in, by the end of the day the second batch had come in, but the amount was still small and they all shipped yesterday and today, you can see proof of this in other forum threads here of people posting pictures of their Zotac deliveries.

The simple fact is my order volumes are in the 1000's, but the deliveries are very small. The supply is not remotely close to demand.

I don't mind waiting in a queue when I know what my position is in the queue, even if we don't know what quantities OcUK is getting just knowing you're x in the queue for y card (eg you're 271 in line for the TUF).

I'm going to wait till end of October if I have to, might have a stab at the 3070 launch see what turns up first. Last one to arrive gets refunded.

Either the RTX 3080 or RTX 3070 is still a massive improvement over my GTX 1070

Think I'm going to do the same but with a 3090. Put in an order and keep whichever one arrives first. I originally planned to get the top end card expecting to pay somewhere around £1400 (shame this is the start price so likely up to £1600 I guess).

3080 price point at MSRP seemed an ideal 'sweet spot' with the level of performance I wanted so thought I'd save myself the money, but I can go back to my original plan of buying a 3090 if it's enticing enough.

I appreciate the honesty of that. I would simply ask if we could be given a running update of our queue position. Your service has always been great just a shame that this release has clearly been flawed potentially from Nvidia. I would be happy to keep the order as long as I knew where my position was updated instead of having to chase your staff periodically for this :)

@Gibbo do you agree with info provided to Gamers Nexus; that the supply is similar/more than the 20 series launch but the demand is just crazy?

Will pre-orders get some sort of clue as to where they stand in the queue / a specific ETA for each block of customers?
My order got in at 15:25 yesterday, I would be much happier if i knew where I basically stood.

Supposedly EVGA are not that great anymore for support, which is a shame.
Really? That's sad to hear, they were the last manufacturer I truly trusted :\

I guess now it's a case of buying from a vendor that offers that good support and try to bypass the manufacturer where possible.

*sigh*

As I managed to get my order through on the asus tuf while your website displayed eta 21st of sept does this mean I’ll get one of these that are due in early next week? If not I would need to cancel to free funds to have a pop at the 3090fe

If you did not manage to order within five minutes of launch I would cancel using the instructions in the sticky thread at top of this forum.
