I got an email to say out of stock in a queue etc, but I ordered the AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 MASTER, Which doesn't even have a release date yet. How can It be out of stock??

we kind of cannot have a repeat of this again..

Various companies, such as Curry's PC World handle large demand by having a queue system, such as this:

https://queue-it.com/why-queue-it/?...CEGSV9hTvc1F0X15BclpV9ICE9N9rmKYaAm2cEALw_wcB

It worked very well for them yesterday with the PS5 launch. No server crashes, no F5 mashing. You had a place in the queue and knew roughly how long it would take to get to the front, and it informed customers when certain SKU (in this case the digital only) stock had been allocated.

Everyone is happy.

If you did not manage to order within five minutes of launch I would cancel using the instructions in the sticky thread at top of this forum.

@Gibbo

If I've ordered two cards (MSI + Zotac), will they ship as arrived into stock or will be held to ship together? (So potentially waiting until stock has fully normalised)

Ordered myself + partner a card and thinking its been a rookie mistake now.

Feeling a little let down by the whole lack of information. Can we at-least get some sort of estimate what range of orders numbers are most likely to be shipping in specific months. I have no idea where about's I'm located in the queue. Ordered a MSI Trio 3080

This the price increase is not OcUK targeting specific individuals it is just between you starting and finishing the order the web price had changed, that is why we have setup the easy refund option.
I did warn the MSRP was for a limited quantity and would likely last minutes. Just demand was way beyond expectation and website crashed as did most competitor websites and at same time all competitors also increase pricing too.

My Card that i ordered from you - Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Eagle OC went through and was paid for at the RRP of £649 as i got it in my basket at around 1405 but was not able to pay till around 1510 due to the site timing out all of the time. Is it likely then since the price did not go up for me that i will be receiving one from the first batch then?

Exactly you can request the refund at any time and there is now a specific address for doing so, which is in the sticky at the top of the section.

Just used the form for a refund, lets see how quickly the refund gets sorted.

I realise now that I actually don't need this level of stress when I have a working card that will do for the moment. Everything will eventually settled down :cool:

Ok thanks for clearing that up appreciate how difficult it must be this whole release has been a shambles

Yeah but OCUK's issues are 100% entirely their own fault. The site goes down every single time there's a major product launch and they never do anything about it. Yet you can go set up elastic web services on AWS that won't go down due to demand spikes in just a few minutes if you know what you're doing.

@Gibbo

Is there any indication (however vague) of an ETA for the non-OC Strix? (or if not, maybe you have an indication of whether you're expecting a "small batch" delivered but have "dream orders" to fulfill?)

I'm aware I pre-ordered and it was so ridiculously late that I know I'm likely in the last place of the queue. It doesn't matter and I'm not cancelling my order with you.
But I did order other parts from somewhere else just a couple of days ago and that order can still be cancelled. I don't want to lose my 30-day return window with them, so it would be super useful to have a ballpark prediction of when you'll have the cards for shipping with you, so that I can assess whether to cancel my other parts or not.

I don't mind waiting at all, I just want to make sure that I re-order the other bits closer to when the Strix arrives.

Thanks!

Read the sticky, they dont know how many will be coming in so cannot be defined yet. But yet a queue postition would be awesome.

I'm honestly thinking early next year, and that's on Nvidia, why even bother with a launch with such low availability?

Probably because they can still claim some kind of performance crown whilst keeping the Nvidia worshipers obsessed with trying to get the latest product - it works too, the people who missed these offerings will pay even more for the next round.

Ah yes just go click a button and you have a whole web store! It isnt that easy and its insulting to an entire industry that you think that.

@Gibbo I ordered an Asus Strix OC at 15:24.. I don't mind waiting and i had no expectation to receive the card this month.

Would you still suggest cancelling the order?

They're telling you what they can - they're saying they can't get numbers from manufacturers yet
