Let’s just say it wasn’t intentional. I already have a 3080, but I ordered this one for my partner. My partner also ended up ordering one from the competitor. Didn’t know until he got his dispatch email; not much I can do unfortunately.

Think negatively of me if you wish; I know I am not too fussed with how you think :)

ah ok if it wasn't intentional then that is perfectly understandable, its the behaviour in general I was being critical of not you personally we're all good

yep, been like that since yesterday, TBH the lady never guaranteed me anything, she just said its showing in stock and thats all she has to go on
They were pretty adamant that whatever they sold was in stock though, fingers crossed hahaha

"Small amount Asus TUF OC 3080 arriving tomorrow"

why is it small ammount every time?
Robots at Asus manufacture run out of power ? they can't produce.

For me, DHL, DPD, Royal Mail are fine. UPS and fed ex as well. These cheaper couriers are awful. I remember ordering a PC case, and the woman decided to not deliver it, until I phoned CS and she had to carry a Corsair 700d case up to my apartment at the time past due delivery slot.

Had a DPD driver try and steal some stuff from amazon deliveries saying I'd signed for something I didn't or just taking pictures of the wrong house because they couldn't be bothered to deliver.

same here. At the end of the day, it’s worth a shot. The only thing in our favour is the lack of people knowing about it, and that they have now pulled the listing. People who realised that started trying to order had it switch to out of stock, or so I’m told. It’s no skin off our back. We either get it Friday, or simply cancel it.

According to Jayz latest video some AIBs have advised they weren't able to start proper production until 1st September.

More importantly, they are manufacturing for the whole world, not just OcUK or the UK, therefore units are limited at this time.

I'm not someone who's raging at OCuk about the cards unavailability. I'm fine waiting. I put in a preorder for the TUF OC on 21st: Late to the party, but before the big capacitor madness. I would be very disappointed if I was moved back significantly in the queue due to the pile on to TUF after the capacitor story broke. I ordered the TUF card, that's the one I wanted, and apparently a load of folks who ordered their preferred cards at the time can skip me due to news that came out after the fact?

I made an educated decision on the TUF OC by waiting a little bit. I don't think it's fair to penalise me for doing that.

Someone theorized that the current shipments are being sent by air, which means fast shipments but very small amounts (which then need to be split among the various retailers, thus "small amounts" each time for each retailer), while supposedly the "big ships" with containers full of golden GPUs are traversing the oceans slowly but with a metric manure-ton of them.

Apparently they're not doing this anymore.

I've been tweeting and messaging Zotac about any stock coming to the UK and been completely ignored. Will I get the card at some point this year? Who knows!

So it said “order is being processed”. Then like 10 mins later it said “processed by the supplier”. Or something like that. I called up to make sure, and the lady said I would defo have it by Friday. If there were any delays it would’ve been reflected in my order. However, this launch has left me very dubious lol. I won’t say I’ve got it until it lands on my door and I have it in my hands.

that’s the bit that worries me processed by supplier

Everything is air freight atm so only small numbers. The bulk will be shipped by ships which take between 27 and 35 days to reach most places in Europe so if they sent a full month of production at the end of august they won’t be cleared yet in uk ports middle to end of October early November is when we will see more and more stock

Hmm You must be thinking Intel extreme or Threadripper for cpu to break 300w but ye 850 should cut it.

Just check a few reviews of my 850W Corsair titanium model and it held on till 995W which it still delivered at 94.2% efficiency - that should cut it - currently got Ryzen 9 3900X but will upgrade to the new 16 core when it releases and we have month long waits for that to arrive lol
