Yes free item allocation was 1000 units, we sold more than 1000 hence that promotion ended.
I have requested more codes but awaiting a response.

does this mean that anyone who's got the pre-order bonus showing in their basket are within the first 1000 orders!???
That does show in my order list. But does not make sense if that's the case because i did not make it in the first 1000 judging by my queue position

I find it sadly hilarious no one is pointing fingers at Nvidia here.. This lies squarely at their feet. If they didnt knee jerk panic release this guff to just 1up AMD and actually waited til they had mass stock, people wouldn't be crying here, gouging wouldn't be as bad as it is.

Nvidia knew this was a paper launch at best, the product isnt even that good, and will be replaced with superior versions in a short time
I agree, the demand also was increased in my opinion by the overpriced 20 series. If they had price to performance inline with the 10 series I for one would have got one and would have given the 30 series a miss. In fact I got a 10 series after the launch of the 20 as my 980ti died early. They were too expensive for the performance and I doubt I am the only one who thinks this.

So based on Gibbo comment that could mean we're in the first 1000 orders if that's all they had orrrrrr, we're actually not gunna get the bundle because sold out and site didn't update
Yeah no doubt there will be some excuse mate... :)

Personally given what OcUK have said so far, and if I was the customer manager trying to figure the allocation queue out... I would:
  • cancel any silly orders e.g. I want 5 GPUs
  • contact those with multiple orders (the one's where people are hedging their bets) and ask them to pick one
  • obviously split by manufacturer
  • sort by order date & time first
  • then by order number second
  • email people once per 1 week or give them a portal that tells people where they are in the queue
  • give people general stats on queue lengths because that might want to order say a Palit vs. Gigabyte if that means they get one delivered quicker
I think that would help, at the very least you are keeping people informed and being fair about it. For all we know there is a stock of 200 still sitting in a cupboard waiting for a new Ryzen 5000 build next month, or someone comes along and nabs a load ahead people that have been waiting weeks/months.
Seriously order in the que is the minimum, I mean yeah it takes a while but we don't deserve to be left in the dark

Asus strix

Not sure where I would be but by a chart I saw with asus being a lot less than msi for purchased gives me hope it won't take forever.

Depends on what your order number was I believe people well past 1000 mark also got the offer despite the 1000 key limit.

Doubt it. I think it was at least several hours before the preorder bonus was removed from the packages, and the modeling done here suggests 1000 orders were passed in about 40 minutes (and mine was after that point and I still have the bonus on my order).

I got in fairly early within first 30 minutes so fingers crossed!

Strix not even been released yet and more expensive so your wait will be different.

Maybe or maybe not. I went for the Strix OC knowing full well it wouldn't be out at release and hopefully avoided for that reason. Going off the update post they are estimating to receive stock for the OC version later next week.

Exactly my thinking too, i knew it hadn't been released yet so expected order volumes to be lower so hopefully higher up the queue in terms of when i'll get one!
