Arctic Freezer II - product alert

I fitted mine today and did it the lazy way. I didn't remove the radiator from the case, just tipped it so the rad was the lowest, then used cable ties to secure it. I didn't lose any water bu still needed to add quite a bit to fill it up.

There was no sign of any gunk luckily, still glad I did it for peace of mind.

Did mine this evening. No need at all to remove rad from pc. Kit purchased around May this year. The black rubber did seem to be a fraction sticky feeling. The new longer screws were a slight pita as no pre threads once past the short screw depth it seemed.

Be very careful when installing the new copper heat plate with the screws as it's picky with alignment. Quite easy to get a minor gap on one side which would then likely leak.

Got round to changing mine out this weekend. I left the AIO in the PC and it took about 15 mins to change. I had hardly any coolant loss, so I just gave it a small top up of coolant before closing it up.
  • Before - R23 - 10 min run - Max temp hit 83C.
  • After - R23 - 10 min run - Max temp hit 77C.
No issues with the previous seal, not deteriorated and still clean.

Haha, it is indeed the 360.

What is that wipe covered in that they provide? It smelt horrible.
Haha, yep! Mine was in the bin, in a bag, in the garage. It's now in the bin at the bus stop about 5 minutes walk away... God knows what it was but I wasn't prepared to have it stinking the place out for another week

The two new screws are the longer ones replace the old ones with the new ones. I've just done my kit about five minutes ago, inside was really clean and not sign off the rubber degradation, but I used the whole bottle of water to top it up.

I did this last night and managed to leak a fair amount of fluid as there was a slight gap to the side of the cold plate.

AIO seems ok although i have asked arctic to ship me some replacement fluid.

This is my concern... I did leave the pump off for about twenty minutes after I did the service to check for leaks and I didn't see anything. I was more worried about the recess behind the bottom of the plate. It's been 24hrs, I'm going to get checking later ;)

I think you'll be ok. I found that using the longer replacement screws it didn't sit flush so i went back to using the shorter ones.

@clone luckily i did my replacement outside the case.
