Good posters, just never enough debate in case central![]()

Considering you've been asking for it for a month now why do you even bother posting here.Nana said:because you KNOW specifically what I am talking about, and hence are fully informed. :/
anyway further to Ota's kind invitation to mail him, I have. Expect to see me suspended, yet again, or perhaps banned this time.
So why do you post?Johnny Girth said:No doubt I'll get banned but in my opinion these are some of the worst forums. Incredible censorship give a distinct Chinese flavour. Most of the posters are young and immature.

Still, the sheer number of people mean that occasionally...there's something genuinely interesting

I can say exactly the same thing. One other forum I post on has an utterly fabulous set of regulars who are some of the most intelligent, informed people I've had the pleasure to talk to. It's completely unmoderated (well... there are moderators but they don't do much except edit idiotic posts for comic effectsara said:I dislike the heavy moderation sometimes but then with a set of forums of this size, it's almost compulsory.
I partake in a forum which is completely unmoderated - ok so we only have 20 or so hardened regulars - and 50 or so who are familiar - but there's never any trouble. After the initial weeks of getting it all out of our system, it has become self-moderating, and most newcomers don't seem to feel the need to push boundaries - cos there aren't any!
) but it all works out fine, as people know not to take the mick because it's not worth the hassle.Sort of know how you feel there although probably partly my fault for not keeping up to date by getting a X-Box 360Weebull said:I'd like to rate the PC and Console forum as one of my favourites too, but nowadays I only ever seem to find maybe 3 or 4 threads in both of them that are worth reading, so it's almost become somewhat of a marginal forum of interest for me now.
but I know that I always thoroughly read your posts, HangTime's and DaveyD's posts as you all tend to really know your stuff and can put your points across eloquently and intelligently.

IIRC, there's a slim chance of being allowed back in if you're banned, for example, people who were banned before October 2002 were given a chance to re-register after the nuke. Permabanned users were not.Nix said:I think the forums are one of the better around. It's ultimately the community here that keep people posting IMO.
Is there a difference between "Banned" and "PermaBanned" or are they one in the same?

and read the relevant posts. It is aggravating, but some things you just have to live with in life.
